I wear this hat to the Gym and when I am doing physical activities outside in the sun. My head sweats a lot during both. It does a pretty decent job in controlling how much sweat runs down my face. It does run big but the strap allows me to tighten the fit. You can't go wrong with the price. Only thing that keeps it from five stars is that almost to the day, it fell apart in the washer.

This hat is made of VERY VERY thin material which in and of itself is not necessarily "bad", but it's just super wimpy. The bill on the front is very short too. The hat just feels small and skimpy. But the worst part, like other reviewers are saying, is the adjustment buckle. Believe it when they say it. It's true. I'm sending this one back. There are a gazillion light weight quick-dry hats out there and I have found others that I like much better.

The hat looks good. It is cool and comfortable but required retightening for boat travel often. I ran the strap through the buckle differently than original and it did not slip. The only thing customers should know is that the Dark Gray color faded quite bit during a 6 week Florida trip February through March.

I really like how you can wear this hat and not sweat like a pig. It allows all the heat to escape and the breeze flow through it. Love this hat.

I wanted this cap because it is very light, solid cloth on top and vents on the sides, great for those of us with thinning hair to keep from getting sun burned.Notice the sizing, the L/XL is very big for me but will barely adjust just small enough to work.My problem is that the adjusting buckle is flimsy and very loose. Once you get it adjusted it slips with just the slightest little tug. It would have been much better with and elastic band or the old-fashioned snap system. JMHO

Keeping in mind that this is a pretty cheap hat, I have to say it's not that bad. I don't wear hats well and I have a lot of thick, nappy, natural hair that is hard to flatten for this hat. Still, I am able to get it on and it stays on. It's fairly comfortable and - this is the biggie - it keeps that sun out of my eyes when I go for my walks That's mainly what I needed. Between this hat and shades, I look like a secret agent woman! Some people can look cute in these caps. Not me. I look like a criminal.The soft cap part is what makes this comfiest. Some hats are stiffer and formed. This one is very thin. THe brim is the perfect length - it extends enough to block the sun - and is shaped decently to be more flattering to the face.CONS- I have to adjust the strap to tighten this quite a bit & there is nowhere for the strap to tuck into. I don't want to cut it in case I need the length at some point. So I have a piece of fabric that sticks out and looks funny. I can kind of tuck part of it into the band of the cap but that still leaves a little jutting part. Awkward.- I am pretty sure that this won't survive anything but the most gentle washing. I plan to just rinse everything while keeping the brim dry. I read a review that mentioned the adjustment buckle rusting. I will wait and see.If this lasts me the rest of the summer, I will be happy.
