DAM-9908 Custom Handmade Spring Damascus Hunting Full tang longsword with Sheath

Bought for my son's 23rd birthday. He's a stickler for authentic detail, and he was over the moon with this gift. High praise!

I really like the Damascus blade, it's nice and thick and looks very well made. Mine came pretty sharp as well. A couple of areas I wished were a little different - it's not full tang. I didn't realize this at first when looking at the pictures before purchasing. But I believe it has what is called a "rat tail" tang, which is commonly used for more decorative handles. That's the second area that feels a little off to me. Holding the handle of this sword with one hand, the handle doesn't feel right to me. It actually feels better/more natural holding it with two hands, but I didn't think it was a double-handed sword. It's like the middle of the handle is too large. Unless it is supposed to be a double-handed sword, in which case I'm just a dumb-***Overall though, for display, it looks awesome and always gets a lot of attention from guests. I have not tried to use it on anything, other than a couple of boxes to test the sharpness. So I can't say how well it would hold up, but as long as the handle doesn't have any issues, it should be just fine. I am pleased with the purchase, and will be buying more from this company. They seem to have a lot of unique items :)

The sword is well crafted. The sheath looks great and fits perfectly. The blade looks great, quality steel and already very sharp. The only problem I have is the hilt is a little wobbly. I’m really just using it for a renaissance festival. Authentic looking and a good value.

blade is great, ballance, weight, edge geometry, file work(very pretty), ect. but I am dissapointed when comes to the tang ! I'm assume it will most likely fail under full swing. (would not bet life on it anyway) IT IS A VERY LARGE, HEAVY, THICK BLADE.

Never get a damascus sword. It looks pretty, but will break easily
