AWESOME BOOK!!!
This is a great book! ALERT: this is a SPOILER!!!Jessi is a dancer and a member of the BSC. When she is at a club meeting, they get a call for a new client. One kid is haley and the other is matt and he is deaf. Jessie takes the job and learns sign langauge. Other kids want to learn it to so jessi is very busy. Also she is busy because she is cast as coppelia and she has to practice. She gets an idea! Jessi decides to have haley sign the story between each scene. She is a great baby sitter for matt! I rate this five stars! HAPPY READING!!!!!!!!!!!

Such a joy to read!
I decided to read this book because I was feeling a bit nostalgic. I grew up reading these books and had all of them at one point. Jessi was always one of my favorites. I love the fact that she's a dancer. I love how she gets to learn sign language and mix it together with her ballet in this book. I love the way Ann M. Martin used her to tell the story. Very unique and easy to read way. Overall, this book took me back and made me feel good as I read it. I would definitely recommend it to other little girls around the world.

Great book
This book is great. In the end I was afraid Kiesha was going to find out about jessi and mal.I really liked this book. This is something that anyone can enjoy. I'm glad Matt and Adele became friends at the end. I would suggest that Jessi could have asked Katie to come with them to dinner.A summary of this book would be that Jessi has a client that is deaf, which requires her to learn sign language.Jessi is dancing in Copelia and wants to make it special for the kids who can't hear. The secrets are yours to find out. You should read this book for a fun time!

An entire new languge
When the baby-sitters club has a new charge who is deaf Jessi takes the job. After all, she loves languages. But then she finds out that the boy can cause some trouble. All over the town kids meet him and want to learn his language. So, of course, the job of teaching them sign language goes to the boy's older sister, Haley. But then Haley barely has enough time to do her homework, and the silent name calling starts. I won't give away the rest but I would like to finish up by saying... This book is excellent!

Good book
I am PIPER-GEO-MOM`s 10 year old girl who loves the book. You should get the book. The only reason I have given it four stars is because the book just gets a little bit boring a.

Finally- a Babysitting Charge with a Disability
A great introduction to a baby sitting charge with a disability- as a person with disabilities myself I was wondering when that would happen in the series. A good change as there aren't many books written by /for people with disabilities. I liked the story and characters, but the language wasn't really a 'secret' one, as thiusands if not millions of people communicate by signing, I guess the 'secret' element was to make the title compelling for the agegroup the BSC is aimed at. I liked the way that, little by little, signing caught on in the BSC neighbourhood, so more and more people could communicate with Matt.
