FOR THE MONEY, AN AWESOME BACKPACK!
I've been looking for a relatively small backpack that I could use every day to haul various things back and forth to work. I have a Spec Ops brand backpack that is without question the best of the best, but it's larger than I want and need for my current purpose. I read reviews that people leave for products, but I don't always believe everything I read. Nonetheless, during my search for a pack, I came across the 511 Tactical Rush 12 2.0 pack. It had a lot of excellent reviews and the features seemed ideal for my purposes, and it was of a smaller size. I ordered the kangaroo-colored version, and I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The color is darker than the photograph. but that's okay because it looks great. First, and this is very important to me, it was not made in a Communist country, which I avoid like the plague whenever possible. It was made in Cambodia, and they are a constitutional republic. They were communist from 1970 until 1993 under the Khmer Rouge, but they were ousted in '93. The workmanship and quality of this pack appears to be extremely nice in all respects. The material seems heavy duty, as do the zippers, stitching, etc. This guy has a lot of pockets and pouches of various configurations, and I love the hidden concealed carry pouch. It's easy to access and holds my Glock 22 with room to spare. It will even effectively conceal a government model 1911. This pack has more than enough room to get me through the day. I don't carry a laptop, so I don't know how well one would fit, considering that there are different sizes. Visually, however, it appears that it should work just fine with most laptops. I determine the value of products by comparing their quality and practicality to their cost. In this case, I am confident that this pack is a tremendous bargain. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would gladly buy it again. My cat loves to sleep on this pack, he approves as well! God bless America and our troops!

The BEST EDC Bag in the world for a fraction of the price of other pretentious Tactical Bags
This is the best EDC Bag ever. 1.Material The material seems like it was made from a good quality fabric. I looked for online sources but 5.11 did not publish the type of nylon anywhere. I would assume it's cordura but it would be better if it were made from ballistic nylon. The fabric is flexible enough to hold their structure on the folds. 2. Organization. It has very good organization. One thing I would like to see it improve is the Laptop compartment. It's way too deep into the bag that I don't find it practical to use it. The best place would be the pocket for the bladder. They could enlarge it a little bit to accommodate a larger laptop. I have samsung s9+ tablet and it fits just fine. However, my laptop could not. The best compartment is the admin panel. I did not know that I needed something this big. If I purchased something like Goruck or KNKG, I would have struggled with my work stuff. It has a compartment for a gun but I don't use it because guns are not allowed in Kuwait. It's fine if it was not there but it's also fine that it's there 3. Shoulder and Sternum Straps The strap is quite sturdy with a yoke that properly distributes the weight. The sternum strap is also very sturdy and is adjustable every 2 inches. I've read in some reviews that people don't actually know that the sternum strap is adjustable. They said the sternum strap is located way too close to their throat and if somebody grabbed the bag from behind, they could get chocked. Ridiculous. The sternum strap buckles actually have a slit hidden behind the loop, which they can remove to adjust. 4. Hip Strap I thought that 5.11 forgot to include the hip strap. However, after checking the internet, it seems the waist strap is not included. But there are two buckles behind the hips that are clearly meant for straps, right? Correct. But upon searching for the right waist strap, it seems 5.11 does not manufacture it? How weird is that? Turns out, I discovered that these provisional buckles are actually meant for, surprise, actual belt. And using belts as actual hip strap is a genius idea. It is easily available, it is adjustable, and it has a good clasp. I bought this specifically as an everyday carry but it seems like, I am looking at using this for travels as well now that I discovered that I can use a belt as a waist strap.

Would Recommend
Great backpack and very durable. Would definitely recommend for everyday use as it has lots of space and a place to organize smaller items in the front pocket. Haven't had a problem with the zipper getting stuck yet.

Very durable
I'm used to all my other small, light, dayhike backpacks, so underestimated just how tough this would be! I got this for loaded day-hikes/rucks with the kids since they don't like gnarly climbs as much as I do, I wanted to make their easier stuff more of a workout for me. This is a tough bag and should handle a good amount of weight! The laptop pocket is reinforced, padded, and just barely/snugly fits my 30lb. plate (Signature Fitness if you want to look up the dimensions). The main compartment can easily fit larger rectangular plates, or extra weight if you want (25lb round plate shown int he pic, with some foam padding around the edges). Others have mentioned this, and I noticed too. The construction is solid and added weights have no effect on straps, no stretching at stitching or seams. I feel confident that it will handle 30 - 50lbs loads just fine, unless maybe I start doing jumping jacks or burpees. Really solid construction. Very comfy when loaded, straps adjust easily. Other pockets are great, lots of organization. Looking forward to pouring tons of sweat into this.

Awesome bag!
I’ve had this thing for about two years now. Still holding together well. One of the few bags in this category that is actually worth the money! This bag will fit a lot of stuff. It continues to nearly amaze me with how much stuff I can keep fitting in it for situations when I am packing a lot. I use this bag as my daily bag for my laptop and notebooks in college. I also use it as my “assault pack” for when I have training (in the army National guard). It has countless useful pockets throughout. And the Mole strapping is of course very versatile to add whatever you like. I added an elastic water bottle pouch to mine on the side of the bag. If I had to boil everything down to a few words. I would simply say, I LOVE THIS BAG. This is one of those purchases I am so glad I made. The only drawbacks are that I wish the shoulder padding/straps was longer where it meets the smaller straps. And, sometimes a zipper cord will come apart. Not the actual zipper, just the little loop that is attached to the zipper.

Checks all the boxes
I got this for a range bag. For this it checks all of the boxes. Not too big, very sturdy, and with PALS, I can add extra storage on it (I currently have side pouches that I put oft used range items in, like my earpro and range holsters). The hook and loop patch on the center is nice for my organization's emblem, and my custom name tape goes on the top strip nicely. I have noted that with a full load, the hydration pouch might be a bit too cramped, but I have not put a bladder into it as my spare 3L one was much too long. It looks like a 2L should fit. The removable stay panel is nice (and thick/sturdy), but mine is "staying" in, for now as it sits up on a surface with the panel in. I didn't buy a waist belt, but I noted that it has attachment points in place for that future addition. This bag may be just for the range for me, but it could easily be a serious day hike pack, with emergency provisions. I doubt you would be able to carry enough gear in or on it for a full camping load out, unless you are a serious minimalist and do not need to carry much water. Overall, a quality pack that I am sure will serve my needs for a long time. Quality materials: heavy duty nylon, zippers, straps, PALS/MOLLE, and carry handle. Everything feels rugged and durable. I didn't put a laptop into it, as I don't use one at the range, but there is a slot pocket for it in the back, well padded for that purpose.
