This works well if you can get it in your c at a couple of times before they hear the thunder. I'd get a couple of doses in mine if possible as long as I've seen the radar to estimate when the storm will soon arrive, and make sure he is hungry to eat a little when I need him to get the five drops. And you can dose again in fifteen minutes up to 4x in the first hour if needed. Their products are ALL so effective and helpful i knew this would be a win.

I never dreamed this would actually calm one of our fur babies during a thunderstorm as we have tried everything and I mean everything like thunder shirts...etc to comfort our fur baby during these times as he gets frantic...paces...pants...etc...I did not have high Hope's for this but I gave it a shot! I heard thunder in the distance and knew the storm was coming (this is key!) When first giving it...I gave the drops as indicated for his weight as he is a large fur baby and only one dose......again no high Hope's for this to work.....weeeelllll let me tell you this...as the storm passed over...yes he showed some signs of distress but within minutes was panting at a minimum...we noticed that he was literally calming down and not shaking as badly as he normally would...I also monitored for adverse side effects but saw nothing that would alarm me....I did however notice he did seem a tad groggy but still alert...(it does have valerian etc in it)...we have had to use this 4 times now and each time with success.... again never would I have ever thought this would work....be sure to consult your vet and let them know what you have and make sure it's ok for your fur baby...not all fur babies can or should take these ingredients due to potentially underlying health issues...

I have a 60 pound Golden Retriever who is terrified of thunder. I purchased this product on the advice of my vet, and it really does work very well and calms her down substanially. However, the medicine comes in a dropper and the instructions say to give multiple drops (like 10 or so) per 10 pounds of weight, per hour until the dog calms down. In my case, this takes nearly the entire bottle for each thunderstorm - it's just not worth it. You can go to the pet store and buy the same thing in pill form and only need 2-3 pills per storm and it does the same thing. It might be great for small dogs, but for big dogs, just go get the pills and save yourself some time/money.

I bought this just before our annual night of terror known as the Fourth of July! I figured what the heck, why not try it. IT BLEW ME AWAY! We have 2 dogs, both rescues who are terrified of loud noises like fireworks. (Storms don't seem to bother them as much, actually.) I've had our oldest for 5 years, and every 4th of July he spends the whole night in my lap in utter terror. Almost 2 years ago we adopted our second dog, and he is 4x the size and just as afraid! We've made it a tradition to hunker down with a loud movie and do our best to distract them. Well this year I gave them both their recommended dose of drops, and they both SLEPT DURING THE FIREWORKS! I couldn't believe it! When I got up to get some water, our smaller dog (my shadow) sat up curiously, but did not follow me and stick to my ankle like he has every other year! The best part is that they didn't seem overly groggy or out of it. These will be part of our traditional from now on! Great price, great results, and one very happy family!

I bought this based on some awesome reviews. Sadly it didn't live up to the hype at all. You have to know a storm is coming and that is simply not always possible. Once thunder is heard my dog is not about to eat or drink anything. Grabbing her and forcing drops into her mouth is also not going to be helpful or leave her trusting me. Putting in water isn't helpful as I said she isn't going to drink once a sound is heard and even without sound I'm not able to force my dog to drink. I've been able to put some drops on a dog cookie and let them absorb and she will sometimes eat them but it sadly has made no help for my poor baby. Hope others keep having better luck!

It might be only my dog but, I might as well put drops of water in her mouth. I hoped this would have helped. Love their medication for upset stomach. That works over here.

Great product and great results, now I have a calmer dog

Unfortunately, this did not work on my dog! I gave the maximum dosage recommended and regularly however, it did not help at all with his anxiety levels! :(
