Pebeo Porcelaine 150, China Paint, 45 ml Bottle - Pearl White

Pebeo pitches these paints for porcelain and I imagine they work fine for that but I use them primarily to create easy 'enameling' on metal jewelry and pendants. This is the second set I have bought. The first set I purchased over 10 years ago and finally a couple of the colors had thickened enough to be difficult to use. In that decade I painted a few dozen pendants and broaches, decorated a few drinking cups, and decorated 3 or 4 rings. A super easy way to add flair to cheap silver or tin-pewter jewelry. Some of these pieces get used a lot and there have been very little chipping. The colors are not totally opaque and the yellow is almost translucent. Product is very easy to use: clean you surface thoroughly with alcohol; paint your decorations; allow to dry at least 24 hours; bake at 300F in your home oven for 35 minutes. The time and temperature are critical. If you have an inaccurate oven dial, like I do, verify your temperature with a thermometer. I used a small toaster oven one time and the pieces got too hot, either from poor temp control or too close to the heating elements I'm not sure, and the colors burned a bit: blue was more black, red was dark burgundy, yellow was brown ochre. Thjey still have held up well, just not the correct colors.

Works as described. Flows easily,perfect for touching up a glaze gone wrong,or as in my case, completely reglazing. There is a good instructional you tube video I recommend watching before using . Great result. I combined two colors to create the green in the photo. Owl didn't need retouching.

I make mosaics, and sometimes I need to add details that are too small to rate a separate piece of glass. That's why these paints are so useful. Having a bottle of white paint in the set is crucial - to easily lighten colors. Variety of colors works well too. I used to rely on paint pens to paint on glass, but no longer. This set, combined with a precision brush, has improved my ability to paint on glass.

We used these for a "Sharpie" Mug type project. We tested with Sharpies first and they were not dishwasher safe and colors changed. I had heard about these projects. So I bought and tested them. Very pleased with results. We decorated mugs for Christmas presents this year. They have been washed in the dishwasher about 10 times with no changes or loss of color. The other nice thing about these is they are water based and can be easily cleaned up after messy children.

I like this product because it does exactly what i want it to do ... decorate pre-glazed dish ware that will last thought a dishwasher a few times (i like to hand wash my arted up pieces, but i do have lazy moments too.) This is not an easy art process for someone who is impatient. Take your time. do your color build up in layers for best results. Let the project dry between coats and final baking. If you rush this product your going to be disappointed. Test it on some cheap plain wall tiles first (makes great coasters/pot trivets once testing is done). And its not as effective on dark colors in my opinion.

Beautiful colors! So many options with paint mixing! I bought these to make hand painted spoon rests for Christmas gifts. They turned out great, and everyone loved them. I love how easy it was to wipe away any mistakes I made during the painting process. Most appealing to me was that I was able to "fire" them in my kitchen oven. The colors all set beautifully and have held up through many washings. Very pleased. I plan to buy more for future projects.

A really nice set of 10 colors including white and black. Easy to use and mix, just paints on with a paintbrush, then you can oven bake at 300F for 35 minutes to set the paint permanently. They worked great, very happy with results!

Porcelain 150 is a wonderful product.

Très bon coffret pour commencer à peindre sur de la porcelaine. Très facile à utiliser. Il faut faire chauffer au four la porcelaine peinte donc sous surveillance d un adulte

Je possède déjà beaucoup de couleurs dans cette gamme et j'avais besoin d'un bleu pâle. Celui-ci me convient parfaitement et je n'ai pas à refaire un mélange à chaque fois que j'en ai besoin.

Ho un laboratorio di ceramica e qualche volta devo fare un ritocco.

Don't waste your money on this. After several coats it is still transparent. It doesn't mix well. It dries streaky. Unless it's the exact same colour as your item the original colour still shows through.
