I recently used it on one of the paintings. Did a wonderful job with 4 coats on 2x2 feet and boom it was finished. But it was amazingly good. But if you have made the painting with that much effort I feel the product is worth it.

I have been doing abstract art for almost 6-7 months now , I have painted some masterpiece along the way. One thing that bothered me was to varnish them. I tried it with Brustro but it ended up showing very visible brush strokes. I moved on to spray varnish. I made couple of good paintings and I wanted to varnish them properly and so I bought this liquitex glossy varnish. I fell into love with this product from the very first brush stroke. It was in consistency which did not need any addition of water or any sort of adjustment. No brush strokes whatsoever. It smelled nice as well, the previous one was so pungent and fuming that It would irritate my eyes and nose. The picture I posted is just after the first coat. There are two more coats pending but this in itself is amazing.

It's a very good varnish, self-leveling and quick drying. There's only a few minutes window to work before it starts getting tacky. A personal suggestion: don't use a spong brush and you'll save yourself from millions of tiny bubbles. Just apply the way makers suggest - with synthetic brush.

The varnish is thick, but doesn't blend well. The brush strokes remain visible even after drying. I had better expectations from Liquitex, really disappointed.

A really good product. Gives a nice high gloss finish to artwork

This is such a great product. Although it is typically used for a finish on oil or acrylic art, I purchased it to put on top of, like a glaze, my unfinished tile coasters, which I had painted and stamped. Upon further review, I realized this product could withstand the cold of an iced beverage, it would not work well with heated beverages. So, I began using it as a topcoat for my handmade Christmas ornaments. Works like a charm, and a little goes a long way. I watched an artist's YouTube video to find the specific application process, and I recommend doing the same. It's super easy, but I would have completely done it the wrong way if I had not watcched the video.

I recently used the Liquitex Professional High Gloss Varnish on my finished acrylic paintings and I’m highly impressed. I thinned it slightly with water to help with a smooth, even application, and it worked beautifully. Once dry, it delivers a true high-gloss finish that really enhances the depth and vibrancy of the colors—my artwork looks sharper, richer, and more polished. A great final touch that also provides lasting protection!

Been using Liquitex matte spray varnish on my paintings for a few years. Great quality varnish, I always wait for a dry day to varnish outdoors and do a few coats with drying time between. You can never see the varnish after, which I like, because it dries matte. I’ve had paintings varnished with this in direct sunlight for a couple of years and no yellowing or fading as yet.
