3 PCS Kaigelu Fountain Pen Nibs Spare EF/F/M Size, #6 Size

I have only used one of the nibs so far, but bought them to replace a damaged nib on a founain pen I bought at a thrift store. Installation was simple and quick and not any more difficult than changing a battery. The nib writes beautifully without having to have made any sort of adjustments. Very smooth and no skipping. The nib is also attractive.

I purchased these nibs to replace the nibs in my Jinhao x450 and x750 pens. The Kaigelu extra fine nibs were easy to switch with the Jinhao nibs, write very smoothly and provide a thin line, which I prefer. I have tried Jowo nibs but find that putting a $15- $20 nib in a $4 pen doesn't make economic sense. The Kaigelu nibs are just as good as the Jowos. They make the Jinhaos so much more pleasurable to write with and the price point is fair. So if you are looking for a good nib that is reasonably priced for your less expensive pens, this is a great deal.

Let's be honest: We get a lot of pen for the money when we buy a Jinhao pen, but the experience is not something extraordinary to write home about (pun intended). This is mostly so because of their stock, one-size-fit-all nibs. These Kaigelu set of nibs (XF, F, M) take the experience one notch up the scale of enjoyment and for a bargain price (pen and nib considered). They don't feel like a fine gold nib, but they are smooth, reliable, and leave a consistent line behind. The swap can be tricky, but it is not really difficult to do.

I wanted something finer than the fine nibs, but these wrote much thicker, about double. Disappointed in that. Otherwise they write well, just not what I needed or expected.

Purchased as a replacement for the Jowo nib that came with a Conklin All-American. Works perfectly. Comes three in a set and the two I have used so far have been good - especially at a little over $3 per nib. They are described as extra-fine but I’d call them a western fine. See photo including a couple comparisons.

Very good steel nibs. All 3 sizes work perfectly. Incredible value!

I had several fountain pens with medium no 6 nibs that I wanted to convert to extra fine, so I bought this 3 pk of Kaigelu extra fine no. 6 nibs. The nibs look really nice and seem to be high quality build. However, these nibs are much scratchier then the original nibs they replaced, and are also scratchier then my other fountain pens with extra fine nibs. I like extra fine nibs because I can write or print very small if needed. Not with these nibs. The loss of control from the nibs catching on the paper results in sloppy and hard to read writing. Luckily the no. 6 nib size is fairly common so I'll trash these and try another vendor.

Plumines de muy buena calidad, efectivamente son del número 6, yo diría que son más bien medianos "M" porque para que escriban fino debes poner la pluma muy vertical y para que escriban grueso hay que ponernal muy hotizontal.

Excellente plumes, douces et précises, bien qu'un peu trop raides. pour l'instant je n'ai monté que la F (dans un Jinhao X750 avec plume Fude). Très bon résultat, malgré un démarrage difficile, mais de ma faute, j'ai complètement oublié de laver les plumes! Il y a certainement une sorte de cire dessus, pour éviter la corrosion de stockage. Conclusion: Laver les à l'eau tiède savonneuse, bien rincer, sécher et profitez !

Smooth nib fits perfect in any #6 pen using it right now in a Monteverde imprezza pen and it writes great, I initially discovered this nib in a Kaigelu 316 pen that everyone by the way should buy for the quality lol and I am not advertising by saying this nib beats the Goulet B Jowo nib I had even being a medium nib love it reason why I took time to write this review for other fountain pen enthusiasts Enjoy

I forgot I bought these and found them in the bottom of my fountain pen stash. All I remember is that they didn't fit the pen I bought them for (it was a long shot anyway) but it turns out, they fit my Noodler's Ahab perfectly. These nibs transformed a tricky flex pen into a well-behaved everyday writer. I didn't even need to reset the feed. I'm so happy I got these.
