I tried to hang a 1.5 ounce piece of thin fabric on a painted metal door with this magnet cut to a 1 foot length. The fabric is about as thin as gauze. It didn't hold. I removed the fabric and the metal strip stuck to the door....that is when the door was not moving. As I began to gently close the door, the magnet fell off. Other magnets have worked fine for this door. I just wanted a long one to slip into a hanging sleeve. Didn't work......oh well. It's in the trash now. By the way it didn't stick to the side of the metal trash can either.

Less strong than a refrigerator magnet. Was not impressed. Not as described

Nonexistent magnetic quality. Could barely hold its own weight when used on pure steel. Returned immediately.

Used this to make magnetic labels for the mixer in my studio. Does what is supposed to.

Maybe I do not know much about magnets, but this one is able to hold itself to metal, but not really with anything in-between. ultimately was not able to use it.

The product description states this is supposed to be a magnetic strip without adhesive backing. However, the product I received was magnetic tape with a sticky back.
