Since adding it into my daily routine, my fingers creak less, my knees grown quieter, and recovery feels... well, still terrible, since the little death of turning 30 is on the horizon and I still haven't flashed 5.14 but I guess I can't use the lack of collagen in my life as an excuse anymore. It’s like giving my destitute and aging body the structural duct tape it definitely doesn't deserve. The mild lack of flavor is ideal—no weird taste to distract me from how many hours I've spent hogging the best hangboard in the gym. Plus, it feels like Gnarly actually stands for sustainability, quality, and protecting the outdoors as a company, a rarity in a sea of outdoors brands that love to preach performative action. This stuff is awesome, and it’s better than other collagen products out there. Why is it better? The collagen is sourced from pasture raised cattle. They include vitamin C and zinc, as well as sodium and copper glycine so your body can synthesize the collagen more effectively. For people who are serious about nutrition and their fitness goals. This is the only collagen product that I would consider. It’s unflavored and mixes in super easily to any beverage. I take it about 30 minutes prior to my workout with a pre-workout and a little whey protein powder.

I like using collagen protein for recovery. The ingredients seem to be quality with this product. This is my 5th or 6th can of the gnarly brand. The flavor is a little plain on its own so I usually mix it with something else. The raspberry hydrate is one of my favorite flavors for that.

I absolutely love Gnarly Collagen and use it daily! It has been a game-changer for my joint pain, especially in my knees. I used to struggle with knee pain during running and hiking, but since incorporating this collagen into my routine—along with my pre-workout—the improvement has been incredible. My joints feel stronger and more supported, and I’ve been able to push myself further without discomfort. I like that it is unflavored so I can mix it with anything, or have it hot in my coffee. I personally don’t like it plain, so fortunately it’s easy to mix with anything. Pro tip - they use steel cans instead of plastic tubs, but the top can be a bit tricky to crack open. I use some painters tape as a little tab that makes it really easy to reopen! Big Gnarly fan, highly recommend their collagen and other products as well!

There's an aftertaste that tastes so bad... reminded me of my colonoscopy prep.

I mix this collagen in with my preworkout before climbing. It dissolves better than any brand I've tried and also imparts little to no taste. I love that it also contains zinc and copper, which I've read are important for collagen synthesis AND that it's NSF certified and tested for label claims and contaminants.

I gave 1 star because there wasn't a 0. Gnarly Collagen Pro leaves a terrible after taste in the mouth that lasts all day. There isn't a refund policy, so I'm out the $$ for this item. It isn't worth the money and it's expensive. I wouldn't recommend this product. Buyer beware..
