Wood Mortar and Pestle, Jumbo

No joke this being a Jumbo Mortar. Perfect to make larger portions.

I’m really happy with my purchase of the IMUSA Wood Mortar & Pestle. The X-Large size is just right for grinding larger quantities of herbs, spices, or making pastes. The wood is solid and durable, and the pestle fits comfortably in my hand, making it easy to crush ingredients. I use it almost daily for making salsas, spice blends, and even pesto. It’s sturdy enough to handle tough ingredients without any wobbling. It’s easy to clean, though I always ensure to rinse it immediately after use to preserve the wood. This is a fantastic, functional kitchen tool that’s built to last.

Works as needed. Husband did sand the interior a bit to smooth it out. We did see a hairline crack on the inside but so far that has not been an issue. Have used it two times to make mofongo. Held up well with all the oil and garlic we slid in there too. I’d recommend for someone who wants to make mofongo for 2-4 people at a time. If you need it for a large gathering you may want to get something a little bigger.

I use a mortar and pestle every day, so I wash it every day and let it dry overnight, After about five days it cracked.
