This radio is not designed to set alarms.

Does it have an auxiliary line inn?

I don't think so. Bought it for my Mother-in-law who wanted just a radio next to her bed at night. Put it on a timer so it would go off by 11:00 pm. Just a radio I believe.

What kind of wood is it made of?

I don’t know, but it looks classic on my desk.
