Disney Planes Little Golden Book (Disney Planes)

Perfect for my 2yr old grandson, he is obsessed with airplanes and it is a must read every might before bed

I bought this and the Big Golden Book version for my 7 year old son, who can't wait for the movie to come out. I like that in this version, there is bare minimum of the story line to just kind of get it and meet a few characters, but not give the intricacies of the film away for when we see it. Art is awesome, as always. Love it!

The pictures in this book are so cute and go perfectly with the movie (that my son is obsessed with).

Our family loves the Little Golden versions of the popular Disney movies! They're written with very young audiences in mind and highlight the fun and adventure while downplaying (or sometimes leaving out altogether) the scary or very sad elements. Our son, especially, is VERY into Planes right now and is a big Dusty Crophopper fan. At age 2 he has several passages in the book memorized and really enjoys having this read aloud.

Our 2-year old LOVES both Planes movies and was so excited to get this golden book. The story is (necessarily) shortened to fit in a golden book, but he still loves it. Unfortunately there are several pages that are so blurry they are almost unreadable. Some illustrations seemed blurry, too. It looks like some sort of printing error. Toddler still loves it, just be aware if you have a little one old enough to actually read - they might have trouble with a few pages.

Update: My now 2.5 year old dusty fan loves this book. Initially he didn't want to sit through the book, but now he does. It does have some hard words for 2 year old to understand like coach, pit crew, Wings around the globe rally etc, but he doesn't seem to mind that. He likes to identify the characters in the story and has lots of Planes toys now. An average 2 year old finds this book too long to sit through. My son and other kids whom I gifted this to quickly lost interest as we kept reading. He liked shorter lined and books. However he likes long books like "Are u my mother" and "The cat in the hat"..

There's nothing especially clever or original about this book but it's a good, simple summary of the film with nice pictures that 2-4 year olds would enjoy. My 3 year old wants to read it every night

I'm seeing a pattern of many movie based books that start well and then just suddenly stop at the ending. This book does not have that problem and matches the movie perfectly. It's basically a summary of the entire movie, beginning to end. My child loves this book.

We bought this to read to my three and a half year old Disney Cars-mad son before taking him on his first trip to the cinema to watch Disney Planes. It simplifies the story told in the film to its core elements and, in conjunction with letting him watching the various Planes trailers on YouTube, gave him enough understanding to be gripped throughout the movie. This is quite something as the film has quite a lot of twists and turns which might otherwise be hard for a young child to follow. The illustrations in the book are lovely, naive and a little old-fashioned, which helps to make the book enjoyable for both the child and the adult reading it. Lucky for me as it is one of my son's most frequently selected bedtime stories! The book would also be suitable for young readers in year 2 or 3.

This is a really cute version of the book based on the Disney film. My 3 year old boy loves it. It is bound like the other Disney Little Golden Books.
