Fantastic Motivational Book for Teens and Adults
Yet again Brandon Webb delivers with "The Power of Thought". In a down to earth manner, the author relays actual events that provide examples of how the power of thought can influence and change the outcome of circumstances. In a world where so much of what we take in is negativity, it's good to have these powerful lessons to be able to share with young adults as well. Though some of the book has pertinent examples from his other books, the manner of presentation is new. These events support and do not detract from the book. Frankly, this book was under $5.00 on Kindle and free on Kindle Unlimited. It was around $10 in other locations. So, for less than the cost of taking my family to Starbucks and /or even a movie ticket, we were able to discuss the wisdom of this real life hero and the power of what positive thoughts can do when applied. It is an investment in valuable lessons that can be passed on to teens. "The Power of Thought" was written in an easy to read manner and flowed well. I recommend it not only to adults, but as a book to be read as a family and discussed with older kids.

A quick and essential read for leaders, achievers, and educators
I'd never make it through BUD/s, Sniper training, or be a good SEAL, but I still love to read--and am inspired by--Brandon Webb's books. This book was no exception."The Power of Thought" is a quick read--good for anyone with military interest or experience, but I think it's more important for people outside the military. Brandon's take on leadership, life, and education are things the world needs, especially aspiring and current leaders and CEOs.This book was the perfect size to reset my thinking about perseverance, success, leadership, and facing obstacles. It reminded me how important it is to adopt a no-fail lifestyle especially in the face of difficulties and red tape.I love how Brandon speaks about the importance of positive interaction with children and education--about never letting anyone be a "dream stealer" and that every one of us can achieve great things if we know it to be true.

Another GREAT book from Brandon Webb!!
Another awesome book from Brandon Webb! This is the third book of his that I've read and yet again he did a great job. It was so good that I read the entire book in one sitting. Brandon does a great job of sharing some tools anyone can use to harness the power of positive thinking to live a happier life and perform at a higher level in all that they do. Some people might complain that this book is rather short, but thats just Brandon's style - he doesn't fluff it up and add extra complexity that doesn't add to his main objectives. The Power of Thought is straightforward and to the point, like you're having a deep, couple hour long conversation with Brandon and he's sharing with you experiences from his own life which made him realize the power of positive thinking. Just read it.

I thought it might help me be a better instructor/professor of chemistry
I was inspired to read this book by seeing the author on TV discussing it. Since I am an educator and former army officer, I thought it might help me be a better instructor/professor of chemistry. It made me more aware that my negative thoughts towards certain students might hinder their progress. I learned some things I needed to know and gained more respect for the author and his ideas. Despite a rough childhood and a huge business setback resulting in a divorce, he handled these major hurts like a man to be admired and emulated. I hope I recall his example if I ever face such trials. He is serious, honest, open about his issues. To me he really exhibits valor, both in war and in civilian life, where it is still very much needed!I highly recommend this book.

and of great value to reaching for and attaining goals or simply ...
Positive thought. Mindfulness. Attentive action. The swiftness of positive teaching. Mental imaging and practice. Forethought and focus. Positive support systems. Brandon takes us through all of these and more by way of personal stories and the stories of others. A small/short book giving us big/long impact upon our life. I found it continues his way of open and honest writing with all the twists that life takes to teach us lessons or just simply pushes us to live and share our lives. For me, Brandon's books have always been from the heart, thoughtful, positive and honest, and of great value to reaching for and attaining goals or simply enjoying his stories of a life well lived. Thank you, Brandon, for another raising of standards in the shaping of lives. It is what he does.....

A must-read
Anyone who feels like they've hit a slump in life needs to pick this book up. The advice isn't easy to apply, but it's absolutely worth the practice. The structure is as Webb admits: simple and straightforward, so nothing stupidly complex, though sometimes it can be a bit of a back-and-forth between his excerpts from Red Circle to his life experiences to his points. Overall an excellent read, especially if you feel like you need some motivation.

Motivating, energizing, powerful
Once again Brandon Webb brings his unique life experiences from a teenage boy who left home at age 16 an underdog, then went on to become an elite Navy SEAL sniper Instructor, and serial entrepreneur, to remind us that how we "speak to ourselves " is powerful. The way we speak to ourselves and encourage others is much more powerful than tearing them down or beating ourselves up. Brandon gives multiple examples throughout his military and professional career where the power of positive thought impacts others through leadership as well as ones self in times of adversity. A must read for those aspiring to be better leaders, spouses, friends, or people !

Disappointed
50-60% of the book is from "the red circle". And the title "The power of thought" doesn`t fit, because I just found maybe four or five anecdotes regarding to this topic. Webb should better call it "The story how I became a Navy SEAL".Don`t buy this book!!!
