Got these for a trampoline overhead spotting ropes as a quick connect for the spotting belt. They are perfect. They are not going to wear out from rubbing against another steel part. The autolock is far superior to screw locks, because coaches cannot forget to lock.

These are strong. Quality is on point for the price. I was pleasantly surprised. They are heavy as stated in other reviews but I don’t consider this to be an issue. I use mine for tree work/climbing. The gates remain strong after several climbs. they seem indestructible so far. Original intent was to try them out climbing and if they were subpar, use them as utility beaners for rigging and such however i have kept them as part of my climbing gear so far. Yes there are better products out there but for the price I couldn’t not try these.
