Cheap, simple and ideal first shaver for teens.
Needed something for my young lad for his first shaver and this fit the bill. The shaver is compact and has two foils on the top. A single on/off button is situated on the front and this button has a nifty little catch on it that prevents the shaver from being accidentally switched on when it’s being carried in a pocket/bag etc. No trimmer and no led indicators; basic and simple. The top can be flipped open and the head can be disassembled for easy cleaning. The battery compartment simply slides open for access. I stick two rechargeable AA’s in this and it lasts my lad quite a long time. He’s managed to use it with no problems and it has performed well on his fluff with no cuts or skin irritation.Don’t know how it performs on an adult male as I have my own for that but for a lads first shaver this is ideal.Cheap and simple.Me likey.

Light, small and effective but could be better designed for travel
This is a simple, light shaver with two heads, powered by AA batteries (not included). Can't comment on battery life as I've had it for only a week or so. I intend to move from disposable to rechargeable batteries. The shaver works well and gives a reasonably good shave. However, it could be better designed for travel, which is its stated application. There is no case to house shaver and brush. The shaver is curved, which makes it comfortable to hold but less space-efficient for travel. The protective cover for the shaver heads comes off far too easily. What is needed is a straightforward quasi-rectangular shape and a hard case with integrated slot for the brush and possibly a built-in mirror - as with an old Braun travel shaver I once had. I have to keep brush and shaver in a bag. The brush is likely to get lost before too long. In summary: a decent small shaver offering fair value for money but which could be better designed for travel. It merits 4 stars in my opinion.

Terrific little Shaver!
Don't let the price fool you, this little AA batt powered Shaver is quite the beast for a clean shave.Like all rotary Shavers iy takes a week for your face to adjust to this style.Philips have addressed this and the shaving heads are made so to lesson skin irritation.Of course it's a different way of shaving, so pulling and positioning the area is something you learn very easily. The build quality is adequate for the job, and feels solid in the hand.As you do your face you'll feel little areas you've missed, and it's quite satisfying going over them and then feeling smooth.I'm sending back a three headed Shaver which should out perform it, instead this two headed ultra portable Shaver does the job ten time better, and cutting down the areas the larger one can't cut.Look, this is a no brainer, if you want a good Shaver without costing a fortune, this will be the one to buy!

Very good shaver at a reasonable cost.
Bought on Smile Amazon Prime for £16.99 But with a voucher only cost me £11.99.Bought to replace my other unit as I sadly lost a blade down the basin overflow whilst cleaning it after a shave.Very good cutting edge.Pros:Easy to use - straight out of the box as batteries are already installed in the factory.Easy to clean - a brush is included BUT mine was missing! Box was damaged but item was indeed brand new and unused.Batteries last a very long time - also included and by Philips too.Includes a travel case.Cons:HQ4+ and HQ56 BLADES are hard to buy cheaply - very disappointed in Philips and other sellers because of that. This is an award winning unit and is still a very popular model in all its subtle changes over the years (mainly in colours). If someone on a low income buys one at a reasonable price, blades cost double the item itself. On Philips own website it costs £25.99 or more for blades plus £1.99 postage or £5.99 postage for the unit - at £17.99 or reduced to £10.99 - however, blades and unit are out of stock...Philips And other sellers need to price the replacement blades more reasonably. It's either that, or purchase cheap Chinese imitation blades and as the adage goes, "buy cheap, buy twice".Now, I'm off to chat to Amazon about that missing brush that wasn't in the box...Thank you for reading my review and I hope you found it useful.
F**!
I will say the same, as my previous review on this very similar if not the same products.
Before you purchase the £21 version of this shaver Which is the exact same model PQ20618. I would purchase, this one, as it is the time I bought it, was £16.99. Still no carrying pouch. As some of the other reviewers say it has a carrying bag. Now for the shaver. Not bad, for a cheap battery shaver. However. Check if you get a new and not used version. As it two that I purchased. Assume that they have possibly been used before. Very sorry for any spelling mistakes. It is, I am a blind person. And I have to use dictation on the iPhone.
