Q: Can this amp also be used to link up other heos speackers or just the the heos link can do that?

This basically turns a regular set of hifi speakers into a heos system without the need of an amp / receiver. The link is used to add heos to any amp / receiver All heos are compatible with each other, I have 2 heos amps (one in each of the main living areas), some heos 1's in the bathrooms and heos 7's in the bedrooms, all multilinked together. If you have a large property and multiple wireless access points, things can get a bit squirly when you link them all together.

I do not know exactly what the delay will be for you, but you ahould expect a noticeable delay compared to the hard-wired ones. If you plan to play them both at once, I expect the delay will make the experience unpleasant. You could get a HEOS device to attach to your main receiver that would eliminate that delay, but the routing of the signal gets a little complex, depending on what you hope to playback.
