The Best Paper Towels
As far as I'm concerned, these are about the best paper towels you can buy! One reviewer noted that you get a lot of paper towels and they last a long time. In my opinion, that's a huge plus. I think it is very convenient to have them shipped to your home and have them on hand. I NEVER run out of paper towels. As far as their intended purpose, I think they work wonderfully. No, they aren't soft, fuzzy, quilted, bleached, or have colored designs on them; nor do they smell like anything artificial. I don't think consumers realize how many chemicals go into a product like Bounty. If you use them to warm up food in the microwave, I think you are less likely to infuse your food with chemicals as with a mainstream product. With seven rescue dogs in the house, I use them for all sorts of nasty clean-up jobs and find them very adequate. I find they work well for cleaning mirrors and appliances as well. It makes me happy to have an alternative to what the rest of the world is using. I think different is good! If you really want to be environmentally minded, keep a stash of old bath towels, wash rags and hand towels on hand. Use them in place of the paper towels. I save the paper towels for finish work in cleaning and for clean-up jobs that are too nasty to put into my washing machine (yes, they do exist)! If you are chemically sensitive or have allergies, I would highly recommend you try this product!

A MUST HAVE! Healthier for the environment and you.
I highly recommend this item to anyone concerned with the environment. I initially ordered them because of the number of paper towels we use in the care and cleaning of the snakes we raise. I love the fact that they are made using 100% recycled paper. The towels are also free of dyes, inks, fragrances and they are unbleached! These qualities are great for our snakes because reptiles are sensitive to bleach and dyes. Thanks to the "green" qualities of this product I feel that my reptiles are healthier as a result of my using them. These same qualities make them safer for use around children as well. I have also found that they are just as strong and hold up as well or better than the paper towels I formerly used in cleaning around the house. I will never go back to the name brand "pretty" paper towels. Function, safety and cost are the main criteria behind my purchases and these meet (and in some cases exceed) those concerns. Just give them a try, you will not regret it.

I love these. I save a lot of money by ordering them in bulk and save a good amount of peace in my mind that I am helping earth by ordering these.

Not Good!
I was hoping this Paper towel made of recycled paper would work as I expected paper towels should. I tried Bamboo paper towels which were quite costly and worked OK. The recycled were supposed to be the middle ground. Better for the environment, less expensive than bamboo, but more expensive than paper towels I was used to buying. These Seventh Generation paper towels are thin, do not absorb well and tear/rip easily. I cannot believe they are “2ply” towels. They fall apart as soon as they get wet. I have to use so many for one small job of wiping my kitchen counter. My husband tells me to use them for everything, so we can get them used up and get something that works. The idea is great, while the product itself is severely lacking in usefulness. I want to do my part to help the environment, but these will not be my choice going forward. I cannot recommend them.

I just received my order of paper towels, so I can tell you my first impressions so far. These rolls look very similar to your regular paper towel roll, the major difference being the colour. The next difference is the softness. These papers are only 1 ply, and are not as soft as the generic 2 ply paper towel, but really this is not a big problem. Because I only got these today I have not been able to try them out yet to eat or clean with, however short of this I chose to put it to the test. I soaked both towels in water, wringed them out and then laid them flat. I was very hopeful for the brown towel, but it did end up ripping. The white towel had no issues. I am very excited to use these paper towels. I am not really worried about it's downfalls, because it is only suppose to be a disposable towel. I am most happy about switching to a recycled product, it makes no sense to me that we are cutting trees down just to create a disposable product. I hope more people make the switch! UPDATE I have been using these as my primary paper towels now and I can say I am very glad I made this purchase. These rolls don't seem any larger than regular rolls but because they are 1 ply there really are many more sheets in a roll. These rolls last me a long time. Since buying them I have only gone through 2.5 rolls. Not very much for a household of 2 adults and 4 animals (3cats 1 massive dog). With that many animals you can imagine we have to clean up some accidents from time to time. And we do like to keep a clean house so we do use a lot. These are really great for cleaning windows and mirrors. They don't leave any streaks. And for all other uses I don't miss conventional paper at all. To me now conventional towels are overkill.

I really like this product! Not only is it green, but it's a big roll of paper towel! I only use it for the odd spill, and for cleaning out my guinea pig cage, and I find it holds up well! Have and will buy again!

Great absorbance and can be put in the compost bin. I wish it came in a bigger pack maybe a 4 to 6 pack.

This is the best non bleached paper towel. Also most economical.

Saw a few negative reviews so I was hesitant to buy. The towels work great on liquids and solids, not so well with things like jelly or Jell-o. The price is great for what they do! Don't expect them to perform like a roll of more expensive, non-natural paper towels.
