40-10 Spool Assortment: 10 Colors, Polyester Thread Kit

Free Motion Quilting is actually fun with this thread. Like many others, I'm new to free motion quilting and quilting in general to be honest. I've made 3 quilt tops - no finished quilts yet because getting to the final stage has been daunting. I've been taking a free motion quilting class on Craftsy with Leah Day and she mentioned that the thread she most often uses for FMQ is this thread. She researched it years ago and compared many popular and high end threads and this one came out on top. Her results match my experience. It doesn't shed fibers everywhere, it goes on smooth as butter and even simple things like pulling the bobbin thread up through to the top of the quilt is easier with this thread. I don't know why, but it just is. It doesn't break - in fact, it's actually a little more stout to cut through in general. My stitches went from barely mediocre to looking like I actually know what I'm doing on my very first 5 minutes of trying with it. My earlier attempts with 2 other threads were not promising and I was getting discouraged with the process in general. This thread was truly the Piece' de Resistance of the process for me. FYI I'm using it on a Pfaff Performance 5.0 with an open quilt foot (not the spring foot) using the 6D setting.I know it's hard to pull the trigger on buying thread you are unlikely to see in a store. I tried everywhere - all the speciality quilt shops and the big box stores like Joanns because I wanted to buy one spool and try it. None had it. I really might have saved myself a lot of time and frustration if I had ordered it sooner.Nope. Not paid to advertise for this either. But if enough people start buying it, I might see it more in stores (no offense to Amazon! - You guys will probably still have the best price.

Oh my goodness- a friend recommended Isacord Machine embroidery thread to me and I’ve been extremely pleased with the quality. The colors selected for this thread set are AMAZING.Note- set your embroidery machine to a slower speed and you won’t experience any thread breaks.

My go to thread for embroidery and quilting. I’ve used Isocord thread for years. This pack has all your basic colors and a great way to build your thread stash.

Well-known as excellent thread for embroidery and recommended by my machine manufacturer. Much less expensive here than to buy at a quilt shop and provides many popular colors.

Love this thread! My mid-arm machine loves this thread! I can spend more time quilting and less time rethreading from broken or skipped stitches.
