Love Old Hickory
The blades do discolor but always have. It is the metal they are made of. Still using my grandmothers. You do have to sharpen them yourself.

Using as a paring knife the carbon steel blade needs a lot of attention like oiling after each use.

the blade was loose. sharp. great knife. blade moves and i couldn't get it any tighter. like they drilled 17/64 holes and used 1/4 inch rivets and the blade can still move. still gonna use it though because it isn't for hard use. my kabars are for that.

SMALL knife
This knife is a nice LITTLE knife, sheath makes it handy BUT it is not what I'd call a filet knife, unless you only clean 6" bluegills.. think paring knife, or a very small camp knife ;)
