White MountainPuzzles Hummingbirds - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

Spouse and I have worked on this for weeks now. We're about 1/3 done. This puzzle is hard! There are many colors and shapes that make it easier than other puzzles, but it is still a challenge. Only downside is that a poster print isn't included. You must rely on the box cover, and there is some printing that hides part of the puzzle. I scanned the box cover and enlarged the print. This helps somewhat. We will be saving this puzzle after it is finished. Can't stand to see all our hard work disappear back into the box!Update: We finished the puzzle. No pieces were missing. We Modge-Podged it with 2 coats of satin on the front and back. I found an old poster frame that fit it perfectly. It is now hanging in the master bath, so we can admire the hours of effort that went into this. We are now working on the 'Pencils' puzzle from White Mountain. Isn't winter in Michigan great?

I always buy only White Mountain puzzles, because of their quality & interesting subject matter. I purchased this one based on the reviews noting that it was a challenge (I don't like being able to blow through a puzzle, you're just blowing through money)! This puzzle did not disappoint, and was educational as well as beautiful. I highly recommend White Mountain puzzles.

Picture of the puzzle is colorful, vibrant, and looks like will be tricky to put together....which is exactly what i want....a challenge. I want a challenge..not something easy.1000 piece puzzle will be my first one that large. Has numerous birds on it so i can see how many hummingbirds there are. THat will help me learn.THanks for the challenge

I think this is the third puzzle I've reviewed on amazon.com. I do about one jigsaw puzzle a year - this one was completed while we were living in temporary housing prior to a move across country. It will be memorable for that reason, but also because it was yet another terrifically rendered, good-fitting, jigsaw puzzle from the folks at White Mountain.There's not much more to say other than the pieces fit well together, the graphics are great, and have fun!

What a beautiful and swirling mass on color and shapes. This is one of the more difficult puzzles he have completed in some time now and it was FUN!Absolutely beautiful.There were no missing pieces and each piece fit perfectly – had a nice sap it when it was place.I did check of the price at two different stores on this one and if you have PRIME, then the price here on Amazon if quite competitive.We had a good time finishing this one.

This was an EXTREMELY challenging puzzle due to the tones of color. I'm usually a "don't look at the box top" puzzle doer because I appreciate the challenge. Not on this one. It was our 4th thousand piece puzzle since the pandemic kept us home (beginning March 14). My husband and 21 yr old wanted to immediately put it back in the box becuase it was so challenging. Not one to give up, the puzzle remained out and we worked on it periodically. We finally made it to the end only to find one piece was missing!!!!! No possibility of a puzzle piece thief in the house, so need-less-to-say, we ended highly frustrated! This was my first time purchasing this brand. I won't be inclined to buy from them again. :(

Here it is. I bought this for my mom who works puzzles everyday. She called me today and told and told me it was very challenging and she was enjoying it. She reports the colors are bright and pieces fit together well. She is a puzzle freak AND can be quite critical about quality. Since she likes it so much, I went ahead and ordered Tapestry Cat for Xmas.

Do not buy this puzzle! Based on our previous extensive experience with White Mountain Puzzles, one of which we'd just finished, we expected another great product. WMPs are our favorites by a large margin. I don't know what happened with this one, but it's horrible. The pieces are much smaller than usual, the writing is so ludicrously tiny we actually had to get out a magnifying glass to read it! and many of the pieces "cheat"-that is, do not actually join another piece on all sides. You usually have one or two or three of those in a thousand piece puzzle, even from this vendor, but this puzzle has way too many. The colors are hideous and the hummingbirds are actually kinda creepy after staring at them for hours...And we love (and feed) hummingbirds! One of the reasons we chose this puzzle. I think White Mountain needs to never hire this particular artist again, and needs a product review of this puzzle. It is way off base from their usual high standards. Very disappointed. We love puzzles, and we like to be challenged, but we're still working on filling in the first rows beyond the edge outline of this one--after working on it for about 4 days now. This has never happened to us before! We're really frustrated and disgusted, but will soldier on, because that's how we roll. We gotta finish this ugly piece of beep! because our pride is at stake. But I strongly advise you to save yourself the heartache and pick another one to try!
