Great dog house. Now its not heavy duty by any means, but it hasn't moved yet. And we have had some strong winds. We have 2 staffies around 22kg each, they both use the dog house during the day time and they both fit in it well. It is light weight and easy to put together. It is easy to keep clean and wash out. Nice and neat. Looks great. Dogs love it!

A bit flimsy compare to the slightly larger version of this kennel, but they both suffer from the same issue, there's holes between the waves and gable of the house. Our larger kernel has had water come into the interior and this will have the same problem. We've put a bit of sealant in the holes hoping it will fill the gaps, I imagine some of that magic tape would be a better fit, the stuff they use on pipes and leaks. Otherwise the kernel is easy to put up and large enough for a comfortable pet stay for a few hours. Although you may find that it gets a few visitors in bad weather. The order went smoothly and was delivered quickly.

Boxed well in pieces which were intact and not broken. It would be ok for someone who wanted to use it indoors. However, for outside there is nothing sturdy about it, so am glad I did not pay any more. It all only clicks together and I imagine as soon as there is a strong wind it could twist and fall apart or blow away. The roof and base are weak as there is a fold. I took the risk to buy it with a view to strengthen it. Using composite decking I am going to make a platform or basically a patio for the kennel and will somehow attach it. That will help stop it blowing away and also strengthen the floor. It will also raise it a little to stop rain getting in at the door opening as there is not much height to it. Also, I will either superglue or attach some screws at the edges to help hold it together. Not sure at this stage if it is waterproof but from looking at it once put together it could well be OK. I suppose I could add silicone before attaching. All that said it will probably be ok. I will update the review with ideas or suggestions if I have problems once I start the renovation. (Or should I say when hubby does). UPDATE the kennel is now put together by clicking pieces together but we also added stainless steel screws with brown screw caps in various places on the sides, front and back and also to hold down the roof. It is also attached to it's own patio with a bolt and wingnut at each of the 4 corners. This also adds weight to it as the composite decking is quite heavy. We spent more than double the cost of the kennel on all the extras and are still not finished. We have found that there is no overhang which is our fault for not taking a closer look at the picture. This means that if it rains at an angle, it will easily enter the door. Also even though raised the rain bounces on the patio and in the door as there is no threshold. Now thinking caps on to either create a bigger roof with an overhang or somehow create a door. All in all a big regret. I wish we had spent more on a better quality kennel with a least 20 - 30 cm roof overhang above the door. Sorry 4 stars now reduce to 3.

Perfect for my cocker spaniel to go into if rain starts while running around the yard. Puts together in about 10 minutes. Ideal.
