Variable speed pond pump Review: Pump Works Great - Amazing pump so far and I love the customization with the flow rates. Much better than the old pump I had with only 3 flow settings. I was able to dial this in perfectly to get the exact flow rate needed for my Evolution Aqua EazyPod filter at the setting of 48, it’s giving me 1320 gals/hr into the filter housing. The pump and the electronic adjustment are great but that cage is absolutely junk. I tried a screw, two, not enough material too screw into, I tried glue, didn't stick to what ever plastic this is, tried epoxy but the had to break the cage to clean pump out. I am currently running the pump without the cage and just back flushing every few days to clear the debris. During the summer it wasn't so bad but now that the leaves are falling it is clogging often, which would happen with or without the cage
