Can it hold a drill or two?

If your talking a small impact drill then yes. I put my milwaukee fuel m12 impact in the front no problem. The larger 18v would be an issue. You might want the full size pro pac for larger drills.

Does the laptop area have padding at the bottom? I've noticed the cheaper ones just have plastic bottoms on the inside.
