This equipment had a US plug rather than AU, and there was no mention of it in product description.

I needed a PoE+ switch to power some outdoor Wi-Fi APs and that also had an SFP port because my backhaul was coming from another building and there were available fiber strands that I could use to connect. The NetGear GS510TPP was perfect for the job. With a power budget of 190W, it was up to the task of powering 2 Wi-Fi APs and a PtP device. The fiber link worked without any problems, too. Also, it's a managed switch with SNMP so I was easily able to add it to my network monitoring setup. For less than $400, it's great little switch.

I have easily ordered a dozen of these switches. You will find it hard to beat the quality to value ratio of this switch. We use them at the office for powering Polycom POE devices where needed. I use them at home for HikVision security cameras. They have been in the field and have operated great. PRO - Rugged metal box, virtually indestructible - Able to power any POE device I've thrown at it so far except the UNIFI Wifi AP (great device) - It's an 8 port switch but should you find GBIC, it's really a 10 port switch - I've never had a failure despite all the installations and all the devices plugged in - Fanless - Very compact - It's a managed switch, does VLAN CON - The power supply is a huge brick. Seriously, compared to the switch it's massive. But when you consider the switch is so compact, and does so much, it's understandable. - POE budget 53w isn't huge, you certainly won't be able to fill it with say, 7 cameras with IR, but you can definitely but 3-4 comfortably. In practice, I have yet to run out, but I'm not exactly using 2 of these to power a 16 POE camera system - It has some totally asinine auto-voice vlan "feature" that effectively breaks VLAN 2 or 3. If you're hoping to use those, there will be some serious head scratching.

That's about it really. Awesome plug and play. If an idiot like me can use it, so can you.

I bought this NETGEAR 24-port switch when I set up a home YouTube studio, and it became even more valuable once I started working from home during Covid. The unit installed cleanly under my wooden desk and handled all of my wired network connections — computers, smart devices, and all the gear in my home office that benefits from a stable Ethernet connection. I never used all 24 ports, but I used plenty of them, and it was great having the extra capacity whenever I needed to add a device. Just like other reviewers mention, it’s truly plug-and-play and has been rock-solid since day one. A dependable, no-nonsense switch that’s been the backbone of my home network.
