Yes, after it has warmed up for 10-15 seconds.

Q: How long does a tank last - I.e does it burn really fast or fairly efficient

It all depends on the number and length of time it is used in general it will last longer than a cartridge of propane as it burns hotter and you can solder joints quicker using less gas. Putting an exact time is impossible as everyone uses the torch differently.

Good product. Good value. Tip does get hot as others have mentioned but it’s a gas flame torch so I think that is expected

Proper blowtorch for the DIYer.

Much more heat than a normal propane hand held torch. Piezo spark instantly starts the flame, this will save gas and remove the hassle of relighting between soldering jobs. Bought this to use with Durafix aluminium soldering rods. Speed up the jobs. Good value for torch with two gas bottles.
