Shea Moisture, All Day Frizz Control Styling Gel Papaya & Neroli, 8 Ounce

Sadly this is discontinued but this was my favorite gel. It takes away the fuzzy of curly hair. Leaves defined curls with a bit of hold but not too much to leave you with hard curls. The scent and texture are awesome too. Maybe they will bring it back. The substitution is the defining gel with coconut and flaxseed and it is not worth it at all. It does not have any hold.

This product did not work for me, but YMMV. It moisturized well, but did not have any effect on frizz. Worse, it flaked after a day. This happened when used alone, and also when used with shea oil, and when used with castor oil and another gel. In case this is helpful, I have dry 3b hair.The smell is very pleasant so I'm using the remainder of the tube as an additive to body lotion.

This smells so good and keeps the frizz out of my 3C wash and go! Love it.

I can't believe I found a gel that makes my 2nd day curls/waves presentable and not just stringy/crunchy. I'm in love! Great scent. Just wish it were in a pump container as it's a bit runnier than ideal for a tube.

It dries your hair out like crazy. It will cause it to break. It has a strong hold, but I would rather use something alcohol based than this stuff (and I hate alcohol base stuff). It would cause more manageable damage then this did. Now I am having to repair my hair and grow it out again. It does smell nice though for a little while.

Perhaps I am the one-off as the smell was fine, but it did not prevent frizz or offer curl control. I have wavy and curly hair (as does my son) and the texture and feel after using this were awful. I don't typically rate negative and try to use a product to its end (waste), but I am sadly tossing this after 3 uses as it is simply not effective. I do not recommend as it is a waste of $$ and defeats the purpose of being "environmentally friendly" when a full tube is headed to the landfill. Purchased at Whole Foods.
