Gorgeous book and we'll worth buying as a treat for yourself or as a present for a nature lover.
This book is the work of Jo Brown, otherwise known as Bernoid on social media. The journal covers a vast array of wildlife found in the Devon (and obviously UK) countryside. Each page has nature notes to accompany each sketch and data such as the date and rough location. It's also features unique characteristics such as tippexed out text that shows how it is an individuals own work.I would highly recommend this as a treat for yourself or as a lovely gift for a nature lover.

This book is an absolute joy. Beautifully written and illustrated. It was bought as a Christmas present for myself but when it arrived I couldn’t hold back from looking inside and read it over the next few days. A must have for nature lovers.

Such a beautiful book - stunning illustrations
I bought this for my wife who's a scientist and from Devon. She loved it! Really informative, and easy to dip in and out of. The illustrations are stunning - so detailed! I'd 100% recommend this for any nature lover and so pleased I stumbled across it.

Stunning artwork, beautifully illustrated with excellent wildlife descriptions
I love this book. It is beautifully presented as Jo Brown's (author/illustrator) own personal nature diary. I loved that she presented so many varieties of fungi. Her descriptions are handwritten (a lost art in itself) and are clear and concise. This gorgeous book took me back to my childhood with my own nature diaries and drawings of wild creatures.I hope Jo punlishes more of her work, I would love to see British mammals, amphibians and reptiles in her next work, oh, and more fungi and spiders please, in fact any aspect of our wonderful natural environment will do ❤
