This is similar to a traditional coir doormat, except that it has a rubber base. I got it for use in the conservatory so that I can stand on it when I come in from the garden and take off my outdoor shoes. I think it might be damaged around the edges if used in a heavily trafficked area. If you want a doormat for a front door, I would get one with a heavier base that protects the edges. This one is fine for use in the conservatory and looks great.

As I’ve said above , brilliant, also it doesn’t have flaming rubber backing, every rubber backed mat I’ve owned has stained the vinyl flooring or actually glued itself to the vinyl. This mat has PVC backing so won’t deteriorate like rubber.

Ordered 2 mats Seem good quality Unfortunately one had a 4 inch tear on the edge and the bag it came in wasnt damaged ? Have taped it together and not visible now Shame though
