Rockridge Press Coding for Kids: Scratch: Learn Coding Skills, Create 10 Fun Games, and Master Scratch

My 6 year old was very interested in learning coding, so after some research, I settled on this book. We checked it out at the library and started working through it, but it wasn't long before I purchased our own copy. This book is very well written and easy to follow and teaches Scratch excellently to a beginner coder.

My son was learning about scratch at school and wanted to do at home, had a lot of fun working through this book.

This book is easy to follow without dumbing things down for kids. My daughter loves it and it is easy to set goals for her learning. We do a chapter every day and that is manageable for both of us (she can code all day on scratch if you let her). I am glad the author wrote this book. After my daughter finishes this one I hope to buy her the python one.

Illustrations good, info good. Spent a bit too much time introducing the subject and what coding is.

Purchased for an 8 year old... misleading to say suitable for that age child. Claim 8 and up. No it isn't....
