BIG, Easy-to-Move, Easy-to-Use Air Fryer/Oven
When I first received this oven, following instructions I powered it on for what I call the "burn-in" cycle. Apparently, per the instructions, heating it up to MAX temp allows any remaining post-shipping packing oils (a protective substance on the heating elements) to be burned off. The MAX temp we found was 450F (Broil mode). I left it on for 30 minutes just to be sure. I expected there to be noxious smell and smoke from this (and, no, I didn't need to cook lemons either). However, I was pleasantly surprised to experience nothing of the sort. It seemed to go seamlessly and without issues. The only thing that came as an initial "shock" was how hot the metal exterior got (especially on top). Being a current owner of the Ultrean 8.5-quart Air Fryer, I wasn't used to any sort of external heat radiation from an air fryer. Granted, we had it on the highest setting we could find also for 30 minutes and the instructions clearly warn, as well as a decal on the top, that it can get hot (so much so that you could get burned from a prolonged touch of the surface). Again, the instructions are clear that you should wear heat resistant gloves if you need to touch any of the hot surfaces. At first, I almost didn't want to continue using this. However, after some thorough research and comparison of other similar models out there, I found out that this is not a condition unique only to this brand and model, but is pretty much expected for almost any air fryer/oven of this type. It's not an oven you're going to allow your children to operate unsupervised. It requires someone who is mature and has some safety sense (no more than you'd expect to operate your standard stove top or range/oven). Once I got past this initial heat "shock" and realized this is just how things are for an oven of this type, I proceeded on with my experience cooking with it undeterred. I also have to say, that it would have been a mistake to have let it keep me from using it any further. Our first cooking experience was using the air fryer feature. There are a lot of cooking features too with this oven and, once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use the knobs and buttons to scroll through the options, and set the time and the temp for cooking. Use the top knob to scroll through the functions to pick the cooking function you want to use. The bottom knob you use to set the temp and then push it to finalize, turn it again to set the time and you’re done. If you plan on using this most of the time as an air fryer, you'll love the fact that they included a front panel button to "speed dial" to the air fryer cooking mode. We started by cooking curly fries. I love the expansive air fryer basket. It easily accommodated a whole package of frozen curly fries distributed evenly (without piles) across the wire mesh basket. I could already see that the "stop cooking and shake" mode would be eliminated with this unit that we usually have to do when cooking frozen fries in our Ultrean 8.5-quart model. When you set the temp and time, the unit goes into pre-heat mode (takes ~5 minutes or so to preheat to 400F). Once the pre-heat mode is complete, you'll hear a series of beeps and the "Pre" will be flashing on the display as well as the "Start/Cancel" button on the front of the unit. This is your visual signal to put your food in and then push the "Start" button to launch the cooking cycle... EASY!We also loved the oven light that you can easily turn off and on while cooking. It really helps you when checking the progress of your food (something you can’t do when cooking with most air fryers). It really helped for our first cooking experience as we were a bit unsure of the time and the light allowed us to monitor the progress of our first batch of fries, so we knew if we needed to stop cooking earlier than we had set it. Also, the accessories come with a nice portable metal handle that can be used for handling the cooking tray. I found it quite useful for safely sliding in the air fryer basket and for safely pulling out the hot basket when it was done.I did not need protective gloves to touch the handle on the glass oven door, nor to slide in or remove the air fryer basket using this nice portable tray handle they included in the accessories. The cooking experience was a breeze! It was so nice to not need to stop the cooking cycle to redistribute the fries... Nothing but a short 15 minute or so wait and you'll have some lovely fries, crispy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside.Another sweet spot to this experience was I found that the external temp of the unit was not nearly as hot (esp. on the sides) as during the Broil mode at 450F I used for the "burn-in" cycle when I first received it. Furthermore, the unit seems to cool down quickly after use (~5-10 minutes) and it will be safe to touch with bare hands. Also, post cooking cleanup was a breeze! The drip tray that easily slides in and out under the lower heating elements is easily wiped off with a dry paper towel to remove any grease or crumbs. The drip tray, air fryer basket and other accessories are washable as well. The other thing we love about this unit is how light and portable it is. I expected it to be heavy, but it is not. It's even lighter than our 8.5-quart air fryer. We don't have a lot of counter space, so we need to move this around and it makes mobility so much easier. Just make sure, wherever you place the unit that there's at least a few inches of clearance on all sides due to the heat radiation that can occur. Common sense safety measures apply with this as with any electrical appliance or oven.Another thing I was impressed with was their Ultrean's customer support. They've been right there ready to answer any questions and address any concerns. They've been wonderful and have helped me navigate my experience with this new amazing 32-quart air fryer/oven. We can't wait to explore more of this Ultrean 32 Quart Air Fryer/Oven's myriad of features!

Ample Sized Air Fryer at a Modest Price
My first experience with Ultrean was with their 4.2 quart vertical air fryer. This product worked great but like many of of the vertical air fryers, the capacity is limited. This had me looking for a solution that could accommodate family sized portions. That's when I learned about this gem. The Ultrean Air Fryer Toaster Oven checks a lot of boxes for me. Not only do I get the larger capacity (32 quarts) that I was looking for, but since it has so many additional features, I was able to get rid of my old toaster oven and replace the 4.2 air fryer. Win win win! We've used it to cook air fry pizza, tater tots, toasted burritos, air fryer donuts, corn dogs, pigs in a blanket) and they've all turned out great.PROS:- the build quality is solid and finishes look great. This is something you can leave out on the counter full time- it provides considerably more room for air frying. You can air fry fries, wings, pizza for your whole family in much less time by avoiding having to fry multiple batches- it's also a toaster oven, so you can toss out that older/smaller one you may have sitting in your kitchen today- it's also a convection oven, making it a great alternative to using your full-sized oven for convection baking needs- it's also a rotisserie! Admittedly, I have never rotisserie cooked anything but I definitely want to try this.- it's also a dehydrator so you can make dried fruits and jerky with it.- it has a pizza function for quickly baking pizza with perfectly toasted crust and bubbling hot cheese and toppings- it has an oven light. This is actually pretty cool and a great feature to have since this oven is larger than your average toaster oven.- Once familiar with it, the digital interface is easy to use.- The price is really affordable considering all the features this oven has.CONS:- The User Manual...Oh boy. Because this is such a feature packed product, you're probably going to want to read the manual to learn how to navigate the various menus. Unfortunately doing so is a chore due to the extremely tiny size font used in it. I have really good vision and I was struggling to read the print. What's even more shocking is that they include a recipe book which has much larger, easy to read print. This is such an avoidable issue, I think Ultrean could quickly fix this. This resulted in me rating this product only 4 of 5 stars. A user manual needs to be easy to read.Other considerations:- You didn't buy this product for the recipe book right? Good, because you can toss that out. The book, while easy to read and filled with nice color pictures, never went through a proper editing and translation process (Chinese to English). It often doesn't tell you what preset to use for the recipes or describes a preset that the oven doesn't have, like "Steak" and "Fish" preset. Ultrean should pay a translator to edit this receipt book. All that said, I'm never going to use this recipe book anyways. I can't ding them a star for this. Conclusion: I would recommend this product to others. I does everything I need it to do and more. It's well built and performs great. It looks great on the counter and has let me replace 2 kitchen appliance with 1. If Ultrean could fix the issues with the User Manual and recipe book, this would be a 5 star product.
