GVDV Wood Handle Pocket Knife

This is one very sturdy foldable knife for the price, there is no way I'd guess it were $20 for the quality given here, considering you are also given a whetstone in a bag that includes the knife in it as well. It has a very decent heft to it, the furniture on it feels nice and well-sanded, no splintering of any kind after a few months of use. The retention mechanism definitely requires me to use both hands 99% of the time when unfolding it and folding it back up. It is quite stiff and the screw on the side does not adjust this pressure on the blade. When open, it locks very solidly and has practically zero tolerance for budging around, it stays very put. On the side of safety with this blade, I have tried numerous times to see if there is anyway I could somehow poke myself with either the edge or tip of the blade when completely folded and I have found absolutely no way to touch the business end of the knife when secured properly. I have not used the clip very much on the side of the piece, it is quite stiff as one would expect, but it would do the job. I would only add that because this is a very hefty knife it may be slightly uncomfortable to have this on your person for prolonged periods as it will pull on your clothing. The stone is not amazing, but as others say, it will do the job and one cannot complain much about it when considering the overall price of this knife. It is quite small as one would imagine. It certainly can sharpen but I'd advise looking up on proper technique before getting started as it is very easy to damage any blade with improper technique. I'm still trying to get better with just this little stone. Really not much to complain about when it's this cheap and so remarkably adequate.

The opening and closing is OK, but a bit difficult. Bought this to keep in the car. So not a big deal as it will be seldomly used.

Quality knife made from high quality materials. There is minimal play or looseness of the blade after the break-in period. You want it tight enough so that it doesn't wiggle but then loose enough to be able to wrist flip it open and it excels in this. It's a little bulky with the wood screwed on to the sides, but it's what I expected and I really like it. I would recommend to the company that they don't bother putting the poor quality whetstone in the package. The edges are raised and useless for sharpening the blade without first wearing them down. If you sharpen with a whetstone, you wouldn't want to rely on this one to do so. The knife is worth the price even without this piece included.

Just not an impressive knife Sure it’s only 17$ So you get what you pay for I guess But it’s better to just save your money for a Sencut or something It’s bulky, so I removed the wood features, it’s also very heavy for such a cheap knife The steel is not very good, it rolled after rubbing some soft iron, not impressed If you want something cheap to like, idk, cut open boxes? This will be fine ig Anything else tho? No, buy something else

It’s a well made knife with some weight to it. A solid feel. Nice packaging with extras like a pouch and sharpening stone. Hard to beat for the price.

Was a nice knife, until it wasn’t. Haven’t even used the knife for a month and the screws have popped out without me noticing. Not exactly the most reliable fit unfortunately.

I use my pocket knife regularly, throughout the day. This one comes apart way too easy. The screws that are set to hold the knife together, become loose, and occasionally fall completely out. That makes the entire knife virtually in operable.

I love this knife. I was not expecting the quality that I got for the price. Knife came sharp… so sharp that I when to see if it chomps shave hair And now currently have a half bald leg. Over all it’s an amazing product and I recommend buying this or two for the madder
