Ferrofluid Display - spYke 60ml by Concept Zero

I LOVE my Ferrofluid spYke by Concept Zero. When I received it I most certainly enjoyed the magical magnetic properties but couldn't get rid of a couple stains. No problem, I wrote Concept Zero and IMMEDIATELY received a response and was sent another in perfect condition! I have never before received such immediate and satisfying customer service from anyone. My wife and our grandchildren think it's great fun to play with! I say play, but I have a number of scientific gadgets and this fits in perfectly with all the other wonders. I'll be showing it to all our visitors. Thanks again, Concept Zero for a great product and great service!

The product is cool, but the package was crumpled. Unfortunately this was for a gift.

Okay, sorry for the bad title for this review. Honest, though - friends who've been here over the past few months have all really liked this Ferro Fluid display.I bought one back in the summer, but it arrived with damaged packaging. I was later sent a replacement from the manufacturer - and that one was in excellent condition. Months later, and it continues to function as well as on day 1.I really like the design - very early-to-mid-70s mod, IMHO. The magnetic wand has a groovy look, too. This is much nicer than a simple screw-capped jar filled with some ferro fluid in a solution, and a magnet on a stick.

Fun

So much fun to play with!! Sort of relaxing in a way to play with this and watch how the Ferro fluid changes when using the wand. (I am not sure if it is called a wand, but is the word I chose for this review). I like that the wand is magnetized and sticks to the top of the display when not in use, which can help avoid losing it, with kids playing with it constantly. The size is perfect for many different sizes and shapes of hands.

This is an amazing and FUN product. So cool! My 11 year old niece loved it and so did the adults! This is a quality product with EXCELLENT customer service. My Spyke arrived with several large stains on the inside of the glass. I emailed pictures to customer service and within the day they shipped out a replacement to me.

Coolest thing I ever bought! Love! love! love! this Ferrofluid display! Once you start playing with it you can't put it down! Everyone that sees it wonders what it is and when you hand them the magnet, you don't easily get the CZFerro Spyke returned to you...kids love it as much as adults!

Box arrived ripped and stuck with sellotape. Item is small and marginally interesting but no way worth the £70 asking price.Returned for refund
