Q: How do you use this product? Need detailed directions

Love this product. You mix it with water and spread it on. I use it over old Christmas ornaments. I made cat ornaments this year. I also make a form out of cardboard, or bottles, or Styrofoam and spread this over the form. You have to do it in layers and let it dry before adding more layers. When I did cat ornaments, first day was putting the clay around the hook in the ornament and letting it dry so that the ornament could support subsequent layers of wet clay. Second day did half of ornament, and third day other half. fourth day molded ears, and the fifth day the nuzzle and mouth. After thoroughly dry, depending on humidity, ready to gesso and paint. I have used this product for 25 years. I also put it over gourds to give my snowmen texture. Sky is the limit for this product.

Q: What is the major difference between the grey and the white other than color

I find the grey is speckled and since i do fine detail, it make it harder for me to see if the surface is smooth once sanded with speckles of dark and light. I use the white clay for fine detailed products.
