Turned my pee dark, LOL
I am already taking a B vitamins pill. And my B-12 blood levels is already decent. But my doctor likes B-12 levels pretty high. I see some people take this because they have issues with more common forms of B-12. I don’t. I’m already getting decent blood levels. But I figured that if my doctor likes the levels even higher, it might make sense to add some additional forms of B-12. Therefore I picked this product. And of course Pure Encapsulations is a good brand.I see some people with corn allergies have a problem with this product. I don’t, so it’s fine for me.The capsule is nice and small, easy to swallow. I won’t know how it impacts my blood levels until my next blood test, in around 3 months. I took the first one yesterday, and when I peed an hour later, it was extra dark. I don’t think it means anything, other than probably I’m getting more B-12 than I can use. That’s fine, as long as I get enough.

Fantastic Product
I love that this is produced naturally through fermentation and is not a chemically synthesized b vitamin (such as synthesized b6 which causes side effects like neuropathy that natural b6 formed inside a living organism does not cause). This product seems to be pure, is from one of the main well-known reputable brands, gives me more energy and causes no apparent side effects.

Small, easy to take, no upset stomach
These capsules are small and easy to take with no upset stomach. My son's B12 level was in the low 200s with 180-900 being the normal reference range. Since he has struggled with fatigue for nearly a decade but has normal iron and hemoglobin levels, we're trying this as an experiment. Will update with the new numbers once enough time has passed to see a difference.

So far, so good
So far, I have increased energy which I need since I am taking something else that depletes B12 somewhat. It's important to me that it is highly bioavailable.

Not Getting the Energy You Think You Should From Your B Vitamins? Taking Methylfolate?
Have you tried taking B12 for the energy boost you've heard so much about - maybe even the Methylcobalamin form that we all hear so much about - but you're just not feeling it? Or... do you have the MTHFR gene mutation, but are experiencing mood and/or anxiety problems when taking methylfolate? This form of B12 should help. I take methylfolate in divided doses usually twice a day, for a total of about 3,200 mg daily. When I first started taking methylfolate, I experienced some pretty bad mood issues - from anxiety to outright anger. The feelings of anger were the worst for me - there was no reasonable explanation for why I was experiencing this emotion. As it turned out, it was the methylfolate causing these mood and anxiety issues. So, I hit the books again, and discovered that taking extended release niacin should help. I started taking 500mg of extended release niacin each morning along with my first dose of methylfolate; and I did have some improvement, but not enough. This mood problem caused me to stop taking the methylfolate. As I knew I should be taking the methylfolate, I continued to study and look into the problem of the methylfolate causing the anxiety/anger issues. I discovered that the Adenosyl/Hydroxy B12 is not metabolized as fast as Methylcobalamin B12. Since the levels of this B12 stays available longer for metabolism, and is needed to help methylfolate, the theory is that it should help alleviate those pesky mood symptoms. Now, B vitamins should always be taken in a complete complex, or all B vitamin forms should be taken together, as they need each other for any one to perform optimally in the body. Also, B vitamins should be taken in divided doses at least twice a day. But back to the question of did this form of B12 help? Yes! It did help me tremendously. Not only did the anxiety and anger symptoms of taking the methylfolate subside - but FINALLY I was experiencing the energy boost that B12 is supposed to help with. Now, the energy I experience is not like gulping down a triple espresso latte; it's more like "Hey, I feel good today. Let's get that spring cleaning done." My mood has improved overall with a feeling that I have the physical energy to do those things I want to do. It feels good again to get out a move my body and use those muscles. I sure hope others find this supplement at useful as I have. By the way - this is a TINY capsule and very easy to take.

Easy to swallow and great absorption
These pills seem to be high quality and this form of B12 is guaranteed to be absorbed more effectively than others. I do not notice any bright yellow urine after taking these which tells me that they are being absorbed and I’m not wasting my money. I can already feel a boost to my energy levels and can’t wait to see where my levels are when I have my bloodwork done.

Non toxic to the Liver
Two MD's recommended B12 so bought a bottle of sub-lingual tabs, twice & neither helped or made me feel better. (taking for nerve infringement) So stopped. Then I did some research & much reading & realized the B12's were cyanocobalamin which has to go through the liver to be detoxified & with liver disease that was not happening for me. One quote "It’s important to note that high intakes of folate have the ability to mask vitamin B12 deficiencies. Therefore, it’s recommended to take a supplement that contains 100% of the daily value of both folic acid and B12." So I began taking the B12/folate combo from Pure as the B12 is already in the form my body needs. So you might want to ask your medical provider about the B12/folate combo. I have now been using it since early May & feel much better. I would also suggest researching from a qualified source. I use Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NIH, Web MD & Medscape. In good health, Breezeie
