Good price too. But the best part is that even though I’m currently wearing a Stelo to monitor my blood sugar (due to being somewhat insulin resistant) I can eat a few of these chips spaced out during the day with a few nuts (for balancing the sugar with protein) without my blood sugar going up much. These chips are the perfect size for a sensible snack, so as a result now I feel less deprived! It may sound odd but wearing the blood sugar monitor (which sends blood sugar numbers to my phone) has given me a lot of self discipline because I HATE to see my numbers go over 140 mg/dL. For some of us apparently being able to see our blood sugar numbers any time of the day (measured at 15 min intervals) appeals to the prefrontal cortex and perhaps also the “adult ego state”, instead of the inner child, and this helps a more rational part of me start making the food decisions (for an interesting read, pick up a copy of “I’m OK, you’re OK”, found here on Amazon). I’m being honest here when I say that these Ghiradelli dark chocolate chips are an important part of what I am doing, they are the tiny carrots on a stick that are helping keep me motivated! Plus dark chocolate in moderation is supposedly good for blood sugar regulation!

Love Ghirardelli chocolate for brownies, pies and cookies. So much better than other name brands. Zero waxy taste. My husband will eat them by the handful, so I have to frequently hide new bags.

I bought these to make several recipes calling for bittersweet chocolate chips which I did not want to go out and search for during Covid. I made chocolate salami with them, and it is a new favorite. They melted easily, it was easy to incorporate the diced fruit, hazelnuts and spice cookie bits, and the chocolate is flavorful.

So glad to find these on Amazon. One by one, my grocery and big-box stores stopped carrying the large industrial bag, then even the smaller ones. Chocolate chip cookies are a mainstay holiday tradition and was so happy to find them by the case. Thanks Ghirardelli and Amazon!

Or I should say the texture is a bit waxy and hard. They aren't blooming at all but they feel as if they are. The mouth feel is just not what one expects from this chocolate chip.

The morsels have the best taste in the world! I love them!

I eat these daily for health reasons (dark chocolate for arthritis) and have done so for about 20 years 2-4 oz daily of high quality dark chocolate. I have eaten Ghirardelli chips from Safeway for a long time too. I decided to just buy online and get bulk price(?) but the price was about the same and having received the product I was surprised to find old "bloomed" chips that are brittle and bad tasting...none of the smooth delicious flavors I am used to. I went to Safeway yesterday and got a bag to compare and whoaaaaah!! HUGE difference in all aspects appearance, texture, TASTE ABOVE ALL. I know it is always a risk to purchase online due to the inability to check and return a bag when necessary...DON'T BUY FROM THIS SOURCE. THEY ARE GROSS COMPARED TO FRESH, HIGH QUALITY GHIRARDELLI CHIPS.

I bought a case and the expiration date is 6/30/2024. So I have plenty of time to use and enjoy.
