If you are looking for a factory replacement, this is it. Looks sleek, sticks well, protects, and was easy to install.

Easy installation

The hood shield is fine, looks nice, and it seems adhered well but I have concern about the hood paint finish if I ever choose to remove it. There are three prep steps as per the instructions after first washing the area involved before applying the shield to the hood; position the shield temporarily and mask off the outline of the shield to protect the surface outside the line, clean further with included alcohol pads, then finally prep with another included pad of some other chemical. SKIP THAT LAST STEP as it will remove the clearcoat from your hood. There was nothing I could do after following that final step, feeling the surface dissolving, and saw the dull finish. Wish I had stopped after the alcohol prep and when I was questioning myself on the necessity of the final step before installing. Nothing is mentioned (their youtube video) outside the included instructions of any prep other than washing and 'optionally' using the alcohol pads. I can't give the Aeroskin a bad review, but I CAN warn you of the prep. DON'T GO BEYOND THE ALCOHOL in the preparation before adhering, no matter what the instructions suggest. Otherwise, you'll probably be having your entire hood repainted should you ever choose to take it off. With the alcohol you should be fine.

Easy install, still on 6 mos in

Just tried to install this on my 2016 4 Runner....the factory cut isn't perfect, I centered it and noticed one side would go to the end of the hood and the other side came up short....I realigned it so the ends would be even then removed the middle backing tape and upon applying it I noticed the middle was now off on each end near the grill....One side fit perfectly and the other side had a gap....Not good considering my truck is silver and this shield is black....Very noticeable to me and it looked awful.... I attempted to carefully remove it from the hood but the tape wasn't having this and it broke off in pieces.....I called Amazon who agreed to send me a replacement but I had to send them back the original in it's original box. FedEx charged me $30.99 to send it back.... The replacement hood skin arrived and when I took it out of the box I immediately noticed while still in the plastic bag that the hood skin was broken inside the box.... I called Amazon and talked to customer service and asked for a FULL refund which they said they will do when the replacement has been sent back and received.....This time how ever they will have a Van pick up the broken vent shield in the same packaging it arrived in.... I am now requesting a refund for the Ventshade hood skin $50.34 and also for the amount I paid $30.99 to ship back the original which Amazon only refunded me $7.39

Product looks good but is pointless. I was looking for something that goes under the hood and screws in with a lip to actually block bugs and rocks. This is just black plastic that lays flat on the hood with 3m tape. It might block some bugs and debris for the first 3 inches of your hood which is why it gets 3 stars. And looks fine. But if you are looking for functionality this isn’t it. Almost returned but was 40 dollars to return so not something you can just buy hoping it works like most things on amazon.

Better than expected! I get a lot of compliments and I’m happy I purchased. Seemed packaged well to me, shipping was fast, and the install was fairly easy. My only concern is that I have a clear 3M bra on the hood and using the wipes they provide made that bra goopy and sticky. Although the hood guard is on there solid, I do think that when it comes time to remove it, I will have to replace the bra as well. Better than having paint damage though. I feel like if the wipes affected the bra that much though, it probably affects paint too. Looks great and a fair price. This review was written after owning it for a few months to see how it holds up and I have no complaints! Really adds contrast to make a 4Runner look different than all the others.

awesome easy install make sure filled the gap on the double sided tape so the water won’t go inside if the water go inside there’s no way to clean it other than that make my runner a Beast runner🤙❤️

Arrived in a short time box in excellent condition. Read the instructions carefully and only go a far as the alcohol wipes. No need to use the cleaning pad as it will remove your clear coat. This hood guard is slim sleek and adds a touch of flair to the look of my 13 4Runner Limited. Here’s to joe jig that it lasts for a while.

This is more for american trucks than japanese imports. Too big for 4runner
