Don't wait - BUY IT!
As a second time mom at 32 weeks pregnant, I decided that i better go ahead and buy a cute labor gown before baby #2 gets here. With my first, absolutely NONE of the standard hospital gowns had strings to tie. So at one point i had 3 hospital gowns on. Wanna talk about being uncomfortable! Anyway, this time around i wanted something cute. I came across this gown on Amazon and fell in LOVE! Not only is it cute, but very comfortable and can be worn post-labor. But of course i had to ask myself - is it really worth it? Well i went ahead and placed my order. I figured my comfort alone was worth the $30. Anyway, it arrived and one of the snap on buttons on the back didn't line up and were sewn incorrectly. Therefore making a gaping hole when snapped. I figured "OK, maybe it's supposed to be this way for cords to go through or something..?" Well i went ahead and sent a message to the company directly via Amazon and addressed the issue. They were SO FAST to respond and offer me a replacement! I have never experienced such amazing customer service in my life. I just received the replacement today and tried it on and it is everything i hoped it would be plus more! It's very soft, yet thick enough to not be see-through. I cannot wait to wear it in the hospital! I am 5'9" and "all belly" with this pregnancy. I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and only gained 18 lbs so far. Pre-pregnancy i was about a size 6/8 in most clothes and a 34 B in bra size. However most of my maternity clothes are a size L. Even pants. So naturally, i was unsure of what size to order. I went ahead and ordered the S/M and the L/XL. I tried on the S/M first and it fit perfectly! I didn't even bother trying on the L/XL. So i would say they have the sizing pretty spot on! The draw string around the rib cage is slightly long, however that doesn't bother me. I actually like it because it can fit a variety of people in all shapes and sizes. Overall i would definitely recommend this labor gown to anyone who's expecting!

Good value for the price...recommended!
Good value for the money. Perfect for my induction, labor and delivery. Hospital had no issue with me wearing my own gown. I actually bought 2, the blue polka dot and the black. I wore the black for labor and delivery as it was less likely to stain. After I got cleaned up I wore the blue polka dots. The solid downs are a very soft poly synthetic material, more stretchy and clingy. The print gown is 100% cotton, not as soft or stretchy and not clingy. I'm 5'4", pre pregnancy weight of 240lbs, weight at time of labor and delivery was 260lbs, and both gowns larger on me in terms of fit, but they mostly fit as expected. I have a larger bust size (40H) and for the black gown I definitely could have gone with a smaller size gown , it was huge in the bust area. For the polka dots, I think the size was perfect, though I did have to adjust the empire waist of that gown more frequently because the cotton was less flowly and I wanted the empire seam in the right place under my bust. I'm glad I went with the solid gown for L&D because the fabric was more comfortable and light weight for my 18 hour labor. The polka dot gown was perfect for when family came to visit the day after delivery. The snap shoulders were perfect for skin to skin and the back snaps have easy access for my epidural. Unlike some people said, I had no issues resnapping the shoulders when I was done breast feeding. The only thing I would suggest is that the manufacturer add a built in bra or some kind of lining, especially for the solid color gowns because they are thin and clingy and no one wants to wear a bra during L&D. I did wear a nursing sleep bra with the polka dot gown when we had visitors but if I was using it for L&D I wouldn't have bothered. I don't think you can beat this gown in terms of price and quality. I'm looking forward to wearing them as nursing gowns at home.

Awesome, lovely, comfy, practical -- can't beat that!
EDIT AFTER DELIVERY: I have nothing bad to say about it. Comfortable, adorable, worked with everything to do with labor and delivery (including epidural and giving birth). I felt so chic and also like I was wearing my own pajamas. Until my daughter pooped all over it, but that's not the fault of the garment! :) I washed it and I'm using it now as a bathing suit cover-up. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I got it in black and tried it on, and it fit beautifully. It's soft and comfy and seems very practical. It covers the bum even when I bend over and the fabric is not see-through or anything like that. There's no support, so you'll likely want a nursing bra under it, but I expected that. I'm excited to give birth in a "little black dress" instead of a tent of a hospital gown :) I washed it and then accidentally dried it on high (instructions say tumble dry low), so it shrunk up a little bit, but not too bad. I had to use a lint roller all over it after putting it through the dryer, but I was also laundering some new white handkerchiefs, so that may have been it. For reference, I'm 5'6" and 125 pounds when I'm not pregnant -- about 160 pounds now. I got the Small / Medium.

Definitely glad I had this for delivery
I knew I wanted my own delivery gown (let's face it, hospital gowns are awkward, stiff, and way too lose) but the options are a little overwhelming. I finally chose this one, though since I looked at so many and read lots of reviews, I can't remember exactly why I chose this one over others. Probably a combination of good reviews, a decent price, and cute patterns. Cons: - not as soft as I expected, it's a little rough but definitely better than the hospital ones. Just not soft enough for me to want to wear much at home - the draw strings in the front are way too long, they get caught when I sit down, bend over, or when I am holding baby - there's one button on the backside that just won't stay buttoned. Not sure if this is a size issue or just a particular clasp that maybe is messed up Pros: - Super cute patterns - easily accessible for epidural, being checked by nurses/doctors, and breast feeding - as already mentioned, way better than the hospital gown. It fits better and is more comfortable I had a c section because baby was breech and wouldn't turn. So I had no choice but to wear the hospital gown for surgery (which also means I didn't have a messy labor/delivery in the gown so mine stayed nice and clean). I was sore and out of sorts the first night so I didn't change into this gown right away. But I fidgeted and pulled at the hospital one all night long, uncomfortable with how it kept falling off my shoulders, would get tangled between my legs, and was rough on my bare skin. I changed into my gown the next day and was immediately more comfortable and was able to sleep better. I got multiple compliments from the hospital staff on my gown, saying that it was cute and one of the more practical ones they have seen (easy for then to check you and take vitals). I had a few people, including the doctor before delivery and a friend who had a baby a couple months before me, that a delivery gown is unnecessary and I probably wouldn't use it (they both had one with them for their deliveries and didn't use them) but for me, it was totally worth it and I'm so glad I bought it and was able to change into it. It definitely made the rest of my hospital stay and recovery more comfortable. And anything that adds to your comfort after having a baby is definitely worth it in my opinion!

So glad I had this!
This seems like a long review for a hospital gown, but I'm sharing some stuff I would have liked to have known. I originally bought this gown in black, and after I received that one and tried it on, my husband convinced me to get a second color as well. I'm so glad he did! I picked the grey polka dots. I wore the black one for my labor. I was so comfortable! I kept the back unbuttoned from about halfway down, so it was always easy for the nurse to access my monitors and things. I received several compliments from the staff. At first I was told I could wear it for my csection (babe was stuck in the birth canal with the cord around her throat), but the anesthesiologist asked me to put on a regular gown. We ended up just throwing the black one away as it was pretty messy and we didn't want to have to keep track of a dress covered in amniotic fluid for a couple days. But I've basically lived in the grey one since my surgery Monday night (I'm writing this early Thursday morning). Hubs even went home to wash it for me. A couple things: the black one was A LOT softer than the grey dots one. I washed both before I packed them, but the grey was a stiffer, like the feel of a fabric with something printed on it. Not necessarily uncomfortable, I just preferred the feel of the black. Also, the black was stretchier. The black hung loose on me pretty much everywhere. The grey doesn't give as much, so it's a little more fitted. I have to pull it down past my chest because the empire waist will sort of ride up, and I'm not that big-busted. A chestier woman might find it annoying. Once I washed the grey a second time, it was a little softer and more forgiving, but not much. The strings are super long, so I'd suggest cutting them before wearing in the hospital. When breastfeeding/pumping, there's nothing to keep the back straps up like in a nursing bra, so sometimes the set of snaps toward the back fall, and it's hard to get snapped back up. I've felt pain in my insicion area while trying to twist get them. I've found that if I can't just grab them, I turn the dress, snap back up without my arm in the hole, the slide my arm through after it's buttoned. I'm 5'1", normally a size 16 prepregnancy and ordered the M/L in both colors. Like I said, the black was looser, but both fit comfortably. Someone tall might find the dress a bit short. I'd highly recommend this, and if I have more children, I will definitely get this again. I'm looking forward to having it at home for nursing. Even with all the snaps, it will make a great nightgown/house dress for maternity leave.

Functional and roomy
Edit: I ended up wearing this only post-delivery. When asked, since the gown had metal button snaps on it, I was told by nursing staff that this would not be allowable for labor and delivery in case there was an emergency, patients aren't allowed to have metal on them for safety reasons. Still worth it for post-delivery, great for easy-access peri care/hygiene and breastfeeding. Original review: Pre-pregnancy, weight, height, and size: 140 pounds, 5 foot seven, bra 36C, small/medium. Current nine month pregnancy, weight and size: 180 pounds size large in normal clothes, size medium/large in maternity clothes, bra 38D. I ordered the size L/XL, just in case, and it’s very roomy on me. If it didn’t have the drawstring in the waistband, then I would return for the S/M size. However, I’m close to my due date so I’d rather have too big of a size than exchange. There is stretch elastic around the sleeves and neck line (see photo) to allow a little bit of extra stretch in those areas. However, I wouldn’t classify this fabric as very stretchy. It’s thin, but comfy, and non see through (in green floral print). I would definitely recommend washing before use and wear because it has a bad smell. But the tag does say 100% cotton and tumble dry low so I hope to shrink this a little bit in the dryer on high heat. Overall, looking forward to wearing this vs hospital gown on delivery day. Will update after washing/wearing if any issues. The only thing that would make it more perfect would be to add pockets!

Returned
I ended up returning this gown. It was cute but it just wasn't as comfortable or functional as I hoped. I ended up getting a different brand that I was much happier with.

Very Nice Gown - Very Comfortable
This is a very nice labor and delivery gown. It has a jersery cotton feel to it, very soft and comfortable. I ordered the Olivia patterned gown and the all black gown. I ordered 2 sizes so that I could figure out which size best fits me. I ordered both the S/M and the L/XL gown. I am 5' 9" and 205 lbs at 38 weeks pregnant and my belly meausures 45 inches around. I am 160 lbs pre-pregnancy weight. I normally wear a medium or large in shirts and a size 8 or 10 in dresses and pants and I'm a 36 C cup size. I think both sizes fit fine, but the S/M is a tad bit shorter than the L/XL (doesnt cover my knees), a little more snug around the arm holes and the overall fit (but not an uncomfortable snug, just more form fitting) and the draw string does not land comfortably under my breast without a little manipulation. The L/XL is a little roomier in the arm holes and overall fit and the drawstring lands perfectly beneath my breasts withoit having to pull the gown down or adjust my chest. I think I will definitely wear the black L/XL while in labor because its roomier and I'm sure I will appreciate the extra room. If I had never ordered the L/XL to try on, the S/M would have worked just fine. I also ordered the matching Olivia patterned robe in a L/XL and I LOVE the robe! Very soft amd comfortable and it has nice deep pockets (the gown does not have pockets fyi). Hope this helps!
