Q: Does it just display the same weight if the new reading is within a small range? (eg. 1lb) I had this problem with another brand, really annoying.

Nope, that doesn't happen. Scale will reflect even small tenth of a point changes. (What I like about it is that it is extremely precise and does not alter reading if you get on and off within a few seconds. My old digital scale gave me 2-3 different readings within a minute of me getting on the scale or if I moved the scale to a different location in the room.) This is the best scale I ever owned.

Q: How long will my weight be visible once i step off scale?

Long enough for me to wish it would disappear sooner before my hubby gets back into the room! Long enough for one to step off the scale and study the number to make sure they don't forget it. : ) But if you want it to disappear sooner, you can always tap the scale to bring it back to 0.00

Q: how thick is the glass?

It is about 1/4 inch. Maybe slightly thicker.

Beautiful Scale!

I purchased this scale as a replacement to another brand, which had begun to malfunction. I love this new one! No hassle set up, and it works!
