Q: Could I use this to prevent rust on bike rims/spokes?

I only use it on the exterior gas pipes leading from my gas meter to my generator. It works great on anything. The compound keeps out rust better than Trump's wall will keep out illegal immigrants BUT it is an unattractive, dull grey finish. I don't care about appearances on gas meters & pipes. Do you feel the same way about your bike? Short answer, it keeps rust from forming on any metal exposed to the weather BUT it ain't a pretty finish. So if you are looking for the product to perform-it will! If you want pretty-you'll have to put a finish paint on after it drys -which is pretty darn quick.Make sure you have a suitable backstop (like cardboard) because the spray does not discriminate. It covers the object being sprayed & EVERYTHING behind it!

Q: Is ok for a steel garden box that will grow food?

I use it in the troughs I plant tomatoes in. I put plastic in the troughs allowing more drainage and a barrier.

Q: does it offer any UV protection?

This is galvanize, applied to metal... not affected by UV. Anecdotally, I applied it on steel in a greenhouse & its as good as when applied over a year ago.

Q: Will this product prevent galvanic corrosion where steel and aluminum are in contact with each other?

i wouldn't use it for that. i use it between 2 metals when i'm plug welding so it won't rust. you need something in between the different metals so they can't touch
