Q: Seems like most of the faucet trim is made of plastic so now I have 2nd thoughts about buying it? Afraid it will look cheap or not last long

At first the faucet bothered me because taking it out of the package it felt too light. But after it was installed it still looks good after a few months, and the shower head and hose look fine too. They match pretty well with the metal components, like the shower arm, valve cover plate, and valve handle. So at least they're supplying high quality plastic parts. We installed two of these valve / head / faucet kits, one for a shower and one for a whirlpool tub. No buyer's remorse so far.

Q: Does the outside ring on the shower head turn off when the hand-held part is removed?

No. There is a manual valve above the shower head that selects between the outside ring, hand-held shower or both. Full on is like a rain forest shower head and hand-held only gives more pressure.

Q: Does this come with the bathtub spout? The title says shower only but the pictures show there's a bathtub spout.

I received and reviewed this item on June 4, 2016. I said:"I just wanted to say that the part number and the photo are correct, but the description on this item is INCORRECT. This is a 'tub and shower' kit, even though the description reads 'shower only'. Just so you know."

Q: My tub has a slip on installation setup. I don't see away to tight the faucet against the pipe. Is soldering the only way?

Hi Joe,Thank you for your question! This tub spout has an adapter for 1/2" threads or copper sweat connections. However, you can purchase the RP33794 adapter to use with this spout for a slip-on connection.Best regards,Jon
