An Encyclopedia of Tolkien: The History and Mythology That Inspired Tolkien's World

No soy un gran estudioso de Tolkien, por lo que mi opinion solo se refiere al libro en general, pero la calidad del libro es magnifica. Muchas veces Amazon no es la mejor enviando libros, pero si este libro no te llega en perfectas condiciones, pide que te lo vuelvan a enviar. Un exterior delicado, precioso en todos sus aspectos y un interior si cabe aun mejor. Muy recomendable aunque se encuentre en ingles.

Este livro foi um presente para o meu filho e ele gostou muito (ele é exigente quanto à qualidade dos textos). De minha parte só posso comentar sobre a qualidade física da obra: é absolutamente impecável!

I've to admit it, I bought this book after seeing it on a tiktok - and so far it's one of the most satisfying edition I have on my shelves! Lovely!

I bought this to act as a sort of companion book while I read The Hobbit and the LOTR, and despite the hardcover being very nice looking and feeling on the outside, the contents are very underwhelming. There are plenty of words, locations and characters you will read about along the journey through Tolkien's work that just cannot be found in here. "Encyclopedia" is a loose term. As for the art, it is simply too abstract, dark and Gothic for Tolkien's world. It works fine when in reference to inspirations from mythology, but not for the actual contents of Tolkien's work.
