It's a great size, the pick is perfect for breaking up hard ground and making sharp cuts along a specific path. I used it to clear some ground during the hard winter freeze to get the chicken house door open. The ground had frozen and swollen due to low temps and I needed to get into the chicken house for chores. It's also good for breaking up clay ground for various digging and gardening chores. The only thing to watch out for is that you are close enough to the blade that when you swing it, you can throw dirt right up into your face- safety glasses help. It's been strong, digs well and the little handle stays right where you put it. Very nice! I won't ever go without one again!

This garden tool is lightweight but very strong. I have arthritis in my hands and was very surprised how well this worked for me. Multiple uses like digging out rocks, stubborn weeds, etc.

This tool is the right size and weight for my use. I carry it in my farm vehicle with other equipment. I generally use it for digging out invasive plant roots once I cut them back. Plants such as multi-floral rose and Japanese barberry.

The head slips off, so that is a danger. It is effective in breaking up rough rocky terrain. I used it to dig holes in the desert to plant cacti. It got through the rocks et al, where a trowel and shovel could not.

Fantastic hand held much better for more precise digging

This tool is exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to break down and super sturdy once put back together. Works as a great multi-tool and super lightweight and easy to carry!

I am using this to roughen up patches of ground and dig small furrows so that I can plant lupine seeds. It is an excellent product, well made, like a small pick axe, feels really good in my hand. Highly recommended.

Found this online after our big box store stopped stocking them (under a diff brand). These are light and great for weeding as a contractor. Many clients used to buy one when they saw how we use them. Absaloute great tool.

Use it when gardening. Lightweight.
