DK Braille: Shapes (DK Braille Books)

So great for my blind daughter. She is 18 months and loves just feeling the book and this is a great way to show her 2D shapes

The person this was bought for struggled learning 2 D shapes and I think this book will be so helpful for us! Seems durable and age appropriate!

I got this book for a young girl I work with who has cortical visual impairment (CVI). I really liked how the braille had black ink on it, she could find it easily on the page. The pages themselves were also very simple with the brightly colored shapes against the white background. The pages were also not overwhelming for her!

I bought 3 of these books for my second grader class and they LOVE them! We used them when learning about Helen Keller. Most of the class had never seen Braille before so it was a fun addition to our classroom library.

This is not a large book, but it's very good for my purpose. A blind parent will now be able to read to his new baby. He wanted to help the child learn numbers and shapes. For shapes, I think this will help. It's pretty much a typical "board" book. The color contrasts are good for the baby. A winner.
