No, although you can easily bridge 1500ft (these are good for several miles unobstructed) the 5ghz band does not go through trees. You want to look at the M900 radios. They operate on the 900mhz band and I use them in situations that have vegetation in the line of sight. Read up on the franel effect before installing them to make sure you are high enough to avoid signal reflection.

Can i use this to connect to a free wi-fi hotspot, which is 250 feet away and create a different wi-fi with a router in my house?

No this is not a Wi-Fi radio this is a 5 gigahertz internet Bridge
