6 months since purchase and many, many trips to the gun club. So portable, quick & easy take down/setup . We did 5.5' leg length. Also, rotate the top board every other trip to minimize effect of the hanging weight of targets(1/2" torso). Clear instructions and template make for an easy initial assembly.

I purchased this to replace a steel frame for my AR500 target, as the shrapnel from the .30 rounds finally destroyed it. Since this used wood (much more resistant to destruction) I bought it. It works great, but the instructions are a bit on the vague side so I had to play around with it to get it where I wanted it. Ultimately after a few range trips this thing has been great.

These are a sturdy set of pieces to build out on. I used this set with conduit legs and a 2x4 top to hang steel targets from. I can break it down in a few pieces to transport, quickly assemble for use, and then break down and pack up afterwards. I've seen friends use bulky, heavy, kits make entirely of 2x4s that take up a lot of space in their garage and require transport in large trucks/SUV's, even when broken down. This kit, with conduit legs, and a little work, is much more compact and easier to store/move. Sure, it's not a complete package. You have to go to the hardware store to pick up a few things and use some tools to finish it all. Personally, I enjoyed putting some work into this more than my targets that came as a complete package.

These are excellent and versatile stands for shooting steel targets. The way they are designed you can hang a single target plate or use a longer 2x4 and set up a string of multiple targets. All the hardware you need to put them together is included minus the 2x4s and is fairly simple to assemble as long as you know how to use basic hand tools. Well worth the money and will be buying more in the near future.
