Highly recommend for appropriate age.
This was for my 4 year old granddaughter and she loves it. Let me give you this advice. If you are looking for a scooter for a young child, maybe under 6 years old, please get one with the two wheels in the FRONT, not the back. Every kid that I've seen with the kind with the two wheels in the back have gotten their ankles and feet "bitten" by the wheels. This one is perfect. As a word of warning, this only holds kids up to 50-60 pounds so it won't last that long. But anyway, it was easy to assemble, made very well, and since my granddaughter loves it, so do I.

Radio Flyer Scooter
My 1st Scooter is perfect for beginners. It's study, lightweight, and the wide base makes it easy to balance. My little one felt confident right away and rides it nonstop! So fun.

3 Y.O. Loved It!!!
My best friends daughter wanted a skateboard or a scooter for her birthday. She was turning three, so I figured a scooter was the most appropriate choice. I read a lot of reviews on the various scooters on the market, and decided on the Radio Flyer My 1st Scooter, pink sparkle. The scooter was really easy to assemble. It came in two pieces and put together with a pair of pliers and screwdriver- all in 10 minutes. My BF daughter was so excited to receive this. Its the perfect height for her now and she can grow into over the years. I say she has at least 3 years of play in it. Most reviews indicated that turning was an issue, but this is a 1st scooter. Its not made for more experienced children who already have the hang of riding. Her grandmother said the design was great and safer than one with the two wheels in the back, that she purchased for her other grandchild. For the price and factor that it is a first scooter, we will buy one again when our daughter is older.

Great price for a sturdy little scooter
This scooter is adorable. We have purchased the pink one for our daughter's 2nd birthday and although she doesn't quite get the idea of pushing herself with one foot and having the other stable, she is starting to learn. We only wanted the concept for her to be gained and were not looking for a scooter with speed, sharp turns, and tricks. This is less than $30, very durable and strong, and is the perfect height for a range little ones. Our daughter is tall for her age (almost 36 inches) and her 39-inch cousin and 33-inch friend also played on it with ease. As for the complaints from other reviewers that the scooter does not turn with ease and have good angles Duh! Its a toddler scooter! So If your child is a bit older and/or more advanced, you should look into getting them a fancier, narrow razor scooter or something like that. The extra wide base is definitely not for turning; its for stability and teaching the concept of scooting. Update: I noticed that the price on these scooters varies quite a bit! As I'm looking at it, it has risen to double the cost I paid for it ($27.99 and now over $60!). I would suggest waiting until the price goes down again from a different seller and also when it is offered at Prime shipping.

Perfect beginner scooter
Although I wish it had adjustable height, everything else about this scooter is a perfect beginner scooter. It's sturdy and well-made. My grand-daughter was able to use it right away and is now zipping along. She may outgrow it in a few months but it's perfect for her to learn on.

Great First Scooter
This is a great first scooter and easy to assemble. My 2 year old loves it and it was very easy for her to learn how to ride it. The grip on the handle bar is great and the base is wide enough to keep her feet from slipping off. It's been used daily for over a few weeks and there is minimal wear on the wheels which is pretty good. It is durable and I can see it lasting her a long time.

Excellent toddler scooter
Excellent toddler scooter! This was a birthday gift for my 4 year old toddler. She jumped on it her first try and was able to scoot around the driveway and maneuver around like she had been riding a scooter for a while! She likes to scoot with 1 foot on and coast with both feet on. This scooter is well constructed and sturdy like most Radio Flyer products. It's the perfect scooter for a beginner toddler!
