The first feature that I noticed was the weight. The kitchen door has self closing hinges and this door-stop easily retains the door in the open position. The polished chrome finish looks good in the kitchen and matches well with the taps and other appliances.

I bought two of these door stops for my conservatory door from the kitchen extension to protect our wall-mounted TV from damage which is in the conservatory. I read the reviews but didn't really believe they could be so strong. WRONG! One was enough to stop the heavy door (which is an outside door) from hitting the TV in the conservatory. The non-slip base is so effective that you cannot move it with your foot. Unbelievably effective. I have used the second one in my lounge touching the skirting board to stop the door bashing the skirting board when my 3 Golden Retrievers push the door hard! Don't think twice...just buy it! They do exactly what they say they will. Simply AMAZING!!

It is very heavy and substantial and therefore does the job. I have had two more to give to people who have admired it for its good look while doing the job. Also friends have bought independently when they have seen how robust it is

A lovely doorstop that doesn’t need fitting works well doesn’t slip

I have bought a few of these to prevent my doors from hitting furniture or walls. They’re not cheap but they are solid and sturdy and do the job well. Just to add I have had one in my bathroom for about 2 years and glad to say it shows no sign on rust.
