Can we use this for running as well?

You can but I wouldn't recommend it. Not much in the way of a liner in these.

Are these chlorine resistant? How do they hold up over time?

No fabric is 100% chlorine proof,all fabrics are affected by chlorine and other chemicals over time. They hold up great. Make sure to wash in gentle cycle and don’t put them in the dryer. Rinse well with water after each use.
