This USB 2.0 cable is available in 3 sizes, 6ft, 12ft, and 25ft. Although I would have liked to have purchased the longer cables, I chose to purchase the 6ft. long cables. The reader is asked to note that the maximum length for a USB 2.0 high speed cable to properly function is 5 meters (16ft and 5 inches) for most high speed devices, such as a printer connected to a computer. However, many MIDI devices will not work at their full potential with some USB 2.0 cables which are longer than 10ft., and beyond that length, one may encounter missed notes, ghost notes, and drop outs, and in some cases the cable simply will not work at all. I needed to connect some MIDI musical instruments to my computer for music composition and recording. The devices I connected to the Digital Audio Workstation were a Roland GR 55 Guitar Synthesizer, an Axiom Pro 61 MIDI Controller, and a Yamaha MX61 Synthesizer. I am pleased to say, that these USB 2.0 cables worked perfectly. I would recommend the 6ft. cables without reservation for similar situations.
